we are taking our four kids for the first time next month. I'm a major foodie although my family isn't so much. We have adrs at Whispering Canyon, Chef Mickeys dinner, Hollywood and vine lunch, akershus breakfast, Coral reef, Biergarten dinner, 1900 park fare breakfast, BOG lunch, 50s prime time. Any must haves at any of these or snack suggestions?

Still figuring out this forum lol. I was stuck between the pot roast and fried chicken there. Now to decide between the Boston parfait and dad's brownie! Thanks!

Nothing stands out at H&V... standard Disney buffet stuff. Kind of blaaah.
1900 Park breakfast... nothing especially stands out, Disney breakfast foods
Chef Mickeys... Mango BBQ ribs, lobster Mac & cheese
50s.... Pot Roast or meatloaf... definitely the PB&J shake
Biergarten... German Sausages, Pork Schnitzle, Bavarian Cheesecake
Coral Reef... Rainbow Trout, Coconut Mango cake
Whispering Canyon...Family platter, a good variety of choices
BOG... havent had lunch there yet..or dined at Akershus.

Snacks.... Dole Whip, Turkey leg ( although some object... its greasy), Churros, Glazed Almonds, Frozen Bannana, Gaston Tavern's cinnamon roll, Lefous Brew, Pork shank. Any pastry from France ... Ice creams at Beaches & Creme Ice Cream shop

Ohhhh...As a foodie your'e going to go crazy wanting to try everything. Disney has the best stuff.

We let each kid pick a character meal, H and V was my son's for Jake lol. I'm intrigued about trying the strawberry soup at 1900 but figure the two breakfast buffets will be fairly standard. Biergarten is our adults only night, followed by drinking around the world, and then a stroll along the boardwalk we are thinking Jellyrolls. I definitely plan on also snacking around the world and thinking of moving into Germany and France lol. I'm super excited about the bakery and caramel shop. I'm definitely going crazy already wanting to try everything. With the adrs, fps done, and the vacation paid all I'm doing this month is figuring out what all I can possibly eat while still able to walk around haha!

Walking and walking and more walking.... helps burn off the extra calories you are getting. The past several trips I came home expecting huge gains in weight with all I ate but luckily I came home weighing the same as when I went. All that walking cancelled out the dole whips, mickey bars, and many, many assorted snacks I couldnt pass up.

I agree with the dole whip and something from the French bakery, I recommend the macaroons. At Whispering canyon make sure to ask for ketchup and a refill of your drink. Enjoy.

Good to know, either way I'm not planning on watching my figure. There's plenty of time for that at home lol!
