  • Hi, newbie here! I've been floating around and reading the forum for a while and I must say its is great place!

Okay so me and my partner are traveling to Florida on the 2nd of June 2016 for 2 weeks
    Staying at Rosen inn
    Rented a car
Ages 23 and 20 but 21 on the 4th of June so would like to do something special for her
We have "the one pass" for the parks

We want to do the parks, celebrate the 21st, do some mall shopping and visit some family in Tampa for 2 days,
I'm after getting a itinerary together to make this a holiday to remember!
I thank you in advance for your time and I'm thankful of your help!

Wow!! What a great to celebrate your 21st birthday!! California Grill would be a great place to celebrate you can have dinner and drinks and watch the fireworks (great place to see the fireworks). Depending on which day you celebrate you maybe able to go to MK if there is evening extra magic hours.

You have to do jellyrolls on disney boardwalk ... dueling piano bar... the entire place is singing ... drinks are great and only $12 (I believe) to get in :) have fun!

Yeah I'm takin her to MK on the day of the 21st, seems I've missed all the reservation times so I'm gutted about that, I had no idea how it worked or the whole booking 180 days in adavanced,

Plan is be there for the opening show, get her a birthday badge and Micky ears, spend the day there no idea what to do for a nice tea now though then the fireworks, where can I find fireworks times from?

The jelly rolls looks like a possibility option! We love cocktails so is there any cocktail bars? Think we will be getting taxis to and from on this day so we can have a celebrity drink

There are some lovely "cocktail bars" in Epcot as well as Disney Springs. Google "Drinking around the World Showcase", you'll get a plethora of ideas. Epcot is,a great place to have cocktails and a small plate, and then watch IllumiNations...
Or you could reserve one of the Yacht Club fireworks cruises, and have them stock a bottle of champagne... You might have a splendid dinner prior at one of the great restaurants at Yacht or Beach Club or on the Boardwalk. This way you don't have to pay admission to Epcot. Just the cost of your dinner, cruise, and champagne.
Whatever you do, you are a lovely gent and your lady is lucky to have such a considerate guy!

Hi James,
I noticed a couple of things...
First, it probably would be much cheaper to Uber rather than taxi on your MK day.
2. I think you're not going to be able (or want to) make it back from Busch Gardens in time for Wishes. Also, prior to your trip to BG book the safari tour for first one of the day. Hand feeding giraffes is amazing. They book fast so don't wait (If you decide to do it) until you're there. Book a week or so ahead.
3. I know you talked about Cindy's Royal Table. Perhaps on your MK day, do a late breakfast? Much less expensive AND you still get the royal treatment!
4. Are you planning on watching the electrical parade from one of the resorts? Grab a drink from the Poly and head for the beach. Very romantic.
And 5. Rivers of Light should be up and running on your AK day. I would strongly recommend obtaining an ADR dining package so you can see it, instead of Rainforest Cafe. It supposed to be amazing!

Thank you that was very helpful! I'm adjusting the plan now, uber is miles cheaper!
The safari looks amazing! Going to book that in the next day or so to get the early slot

Rivers of light just says coming soon so I can't book a ADR for that

What's this "Rest" thing you have planned for some afternoons?

You're young. No need to leave the parks to rest. I'm twice your age and never go back in the afternoon to rest.

Just reading off what I've seen on here, being in the parks all day then carrying on till late evening for shows seemed to be tiring but if it's possible to carry on straight through and not burn us out I'd like to do full days

You're trip looks awesome! My ex and I went a few years ago and the beach at the Poly became our favorite spot to hang out. The drinks at their pool weren't very expensive (that I remember), and the atmosphere can be really romantic at night.

And I actually disagree with @James5763 though not completely. We had two days that we took a nap or just watched TV in the afternoon which was a good idea for us. We went in December and live in PA so going from freezing to boiling was really hard on us and taking an hour or two to relax made it so we could last long into the night. :)

I see you noted that you would be taking a taxi for various dinners. Save yourself some money and use Lyft or Uber, they're all around the International Drive and Disney areas. Mears (local taxi service) isn't the best and they dominate the city.
