Character meals.... which characters do you want to see? That was always what drove our decisions on character meals, more so than the quality of the food.

You didn't mention if they were boys or girls only that they are 8 and 4, but I assume one is a girl or you wouldn't have put princesses on there... with that in mind.

CRT is the worst food you will find in any character meal at WDW. We did it simply because we had daughters that wanted to do it... they ate very little of the food and I couldn't blame them it was god awful... so you have now been warned not to expect good food there.

Akershus is probably your best bet for the number of princesses you get, more than CRT because CRT will often thrown in non-princess characters, while Akershus is all princesses. The food there is different. It was in my opinion good, but you need to have an open mind because it isn't your normal american food... I would suggest you look at a menu and decide if the food sounds like something you would want to try.

If you just want Cinderella and can live without other princesses then you might consider 1900 Park Fare, then you get Cinderella, the prince, the step mother and step sisters... so only 1 princess but by far the best food of any character dining.

Chef Mickey is on your list, and it is okay food wise. Nothing special, if you want the mickey and company character then go for it for breakfast... but you might also consider Crystal Palace in MK for a character breakfast, is better food for breakfast but instead of mickey and company you get pooh and friends.

Your other selections... consider where they are located. I know some people rave about the Boma and Sanaa, but unless I was staying at AKL I wouldn't waste my time going there. Especially true if you don't have your own car and would have to use Disney transport to get there. Unless you live in a place where you can't get decent ethnic food, you are only going there for the atmosphere. The food is decent but if you live in a large city in the US you can find food just as good or better in many ethnic restaurants... the atmosphere is the big draw to them, but the AKL is out of the way and a pain to get to.

The 8 year old is a girl, the 4 yr old is a boy. Lol. Sorry I left that out. My daughter likes princesses, but she isn't overly 'girly' & would be just as happy seeing other characters. Neither of my kids are big Winnie the Pooh fans so I chose Chef Mickey's over Crystal Palace. I personally would like to do 1900 Park Fare. It sounds the most fun to me. The kids will probably be happy with any of them so I think I'm over thinking it! Lol.

And, we live in a very small Arkansas town. We have to drive an hour to get to the nearest Japanese/Sushi grill. Lol. We don't mind a little drive...but with that being said...we will probably be impressed with even the unpopular restaurants. Haha.

For fun 1900 Park Fare wins hands down among the Princess meals. It is the only one where the character have consistently interacted with the guests, vs the others where they pretty much pop up, get an autograph smile for the camera and rush to the next table.

As I recall most times we have eaten there it was for dinner and they always seemed to have one point where Cinderella and the prince danced and kids were welcome to dance along with they wanted... You wont find that in the other princess places.

Park fare over both CRT and Akershus. The food is a buffet and I didn't find one thing I didn't like. And as stated above the characters interact much more, especially the step sisters. (Yelling to each other, stealing hats, fighting over boys, etc) it's very fun. And the food is dr better than the other two.
