? First Timer Using DVC Points

My in laws are DVC members. They are letting us use their points for our upcoming May trip. My party consists of my family of five as well as my parents. My question is since we are traveling seperately, would my parents be able to check in before us if they arrive at the resort first? Is there a web site that I can go on to acess my reservation? Also, I see on the email confimation that my MIL printed out for me you can do on line check in but when I was playing around with it and typed in the web site, the email address is for DVC members as it is requesting the DVC log in name and password. ( I know you can only do on line check in 10 days prior). Is this something my MIL will have to do for me? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hello and Welcome, I can't answer your first part so someone surely will. As far as the DVC website you DO need a password and login to access it and all its features. From there you can access things like adding dining plan, online check in, and all the other info you would need/want that members have. You can even schedule the ME there.

If your MIL gives you her password and login you could access it.

remember all your ADR are done on the regular disney website.

DVC reservations can be viewed by going to the main Walt Disney World website at:

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/

Click on My Disney Vacation / My Reservations. If the reservation does not appear, log in and then click Retrieve Reservation.

Any additions / changes to the reservation MUST go through the DVC member. That typically includes adding a dining plan, room requests, adding/removing specific guests from the reservation, etc. DME is the one thing that a non-member can typically schedule on their own.

Thanks for the responses. One more question, will they let us check in seperately? There is nothing that states a primary guest on my confirmation, it just lists each guest names. I know my parents will be arriving before us. Would they be able to check in? Thanks.
