Hi Everybody! I need to get your thoughts on my ADR's for October. This my first time back since 1977 - I can hear the gasps now. I'll have my 6yr old twin daughters - hence princess

Day 0 - Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Day 1 - BOQ - Quick Service (Lunch)| No ADR's planned - thoughts?
Day 2 - Tusker House (Breakfast) | Rainforest Cafe DD (Dinner)
Day 3 - Tony's Town Square (Dinner)
Day 4 - Akershaus (Breakfast) | Coral Reef (Dinner)
Day 5 - CRT Dinner (BBB before) + MNSSHP
Day 6 - Chef Mickey's (Breakfast) | Sci-Fi (Dinner)

Thoughts? Anything that I should consider revising or worth trying to fit in?

Thank you as always!

Looks great.

Only thing I may consider changing is to try and squeeze in Sci Fi theatre at HS.

Just as a word of warning, Akershaus really isn't that good. If you're looking for characters, go for it, but if you're looking for food, you may want to reconsider.

Sci fi is a very cool restaurant and has very good food...for lunch that is. The atmosphere is great for dinner, but the past three times we've gone there for dinner the food has been crap. For some reason it's a better lunch option that dinner option. I would suggest changing it to Prime Time Cafe, which has some "comfort food" options or Mama Melrose's, which has Italian, though Prime Time tends to be the better option food-wise, plus it's a fun environment for your girls.

Tony's has been off recently (just not as good as it used to be, service is slow and crappy). If you can, get Be Our Guest, but it's rather hard to get, so if you can't get that one, Tony's will be fine. BOG your girls would absolutely love being into princesses. It looks exactly like Beauty and the Beast and the food is superb.

Coral Reef is another one that we find tends to be hit or miss (some people love it, for me it's meh.) A good one is Teppan Edo, which is a Japanese steakhouse. We've never had a bad meal there, but do check out the menu to make sure your girls will eat what's on it. Les Chefs de France is another excellent one, and if you go early enough, Remy from Ratatouille visits your table. They also do have "kid food" on their menu (chicken strips, burger, etc.) If you still want seafood, Cape May Cafe, which is at the Beach Club resort, a two minute walk from the back of Epcot, is excellent. It's a buffet and the seafood is always great.

Kona Cafe at the Polynesian is absolutely fantastic for breakfast. I definitely recommend checking that one out.

I would also recommend skipping Akershus if you're doing CRT. That's two meals in two days that are "princess characters in a castle" meals. You might find them to be a little redundant. Epcot has a host of other good choices you could swap for Akershus, depending on how adventuresome your family is with international cuisine.

Thanks everyone for your help here. I was able to get into BOG and CP! I think I am finally done and can get back to my normal routine.I couldn't believe how stressful that was... but it my own fault for not doing 180 +10.

These are my confirmed ADRS:
Day 0 - Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Day 1 - BOQ - Quick Service (Lunch)| No ADR's planned - thoughts?
Day 2 - Tusker House (Breakfast) | Rainforest Cafe DD (Dinner)
Day 3 - Crystal Palace (Dinner)
Day 4 - Akershaus (Breakfast) | Coral Reef (Dinner)
Day 5 - CRT Dinner (BBB before) + MNSSHP
Day 6 - Chef Mickey's (Breakfast) | BOG (Dinner)

Thanks again for all your help!!!

The only one I would change would be Rainforest Cafe. To me, it was land of the $12.99 burger. Not a big fan.... but since you have 6 year old girls, they may be thrilled...and really, isn't that what matters?

The rest of your choices are fantastic - very jealous! Can't wait to get back myself!!

Looks great except I'd swap Tony's for BOG or Crystal Palace.

Here are my personal thoughts on your choices.....but I'll only address the ones I've eaten at:

1. Tony's Town Square (dinner). We tried this place for dinner on our last trip (Sept '12) and weren't at all impressed, not with the main meal or with the dessert. It wasn't the worst food we've ever eaten, but was far from being one we'd make the effort to go back to again.

2. Coral Reef (dinner). This is one of our FAVORITES and one we always make reservations for. We love the entrees, the desserts, and the atmosphere. Despite the fact that the wait staff can be somewhat rushed and a little short/curt with you, we still enjoy it very much. I'm not a seafood person at all, so I usually get the chicken entree which is just great.

3. Chef Mickey's (breakfast). Basically the same typical breakfast buffet you'll find anywhere else on property. It's in a great location, and has some of the top characters stopping by for photos and so forth, but on the other hand it's probably the most popular breakfast buffet for families with small children. That means it's extremely busy and very loud in there, with a lot of children underfoot while you're trying to get your food. So you'll have a lot of crying children, children running around knocking into you, and you may not find it worth the trouble again. But it was good for a one time try. If you want a more quiet, slightly less busy place with great food, try the Crystal Palace breakfast (located inside the Magic Kingdom).

4. Sci-Fi Diner (dinner). What it really has going for it: terrific theming and great milkshakes. That's it. The meals themselves were fair to ok at best, and the looping/repeating old sci-fi movie bits really tended to get old pretty quickly. I liked the idea of the drive-in movie theme, but some may not be overly thrilled with your party sitting behind each other, which cuts down a bit on the conversation. All in all, it was nice to try once, but since the food isn't anything special, we wouldn't really have to do it again.

Other suggestions for meals:

Dinner at 'Ohana (located in the Polynesian resort). Great food, fun for all.
Lunch/Dinner at Nine Dragons (sit-down rest. in China in Epcot). Food was fantastic, and service nice and fast.
Lunch/Dinner at Biergarten (buffet meal in Germany in Epcot). Great buffet choices and entertainment.

I think you should try whatever YOU want to try, but since you asked...

Akershus and Sci-Fi are more about the experience than the food. And both are worth doing for the experience, IMO.

Tony's is routinely and consistently not good. It isn't really bad, it just isn't good. If someone handed me your list and told me I had to eat in all those place, I'd argue over Tony's alone. I can get better food at the Olive Garden and it will be a whole lot cheaper there, too.

Have fun!!!
