First time - one day

I will be going to Disneyland Paris on either Aug 3, 4, or 5th for the first time (3 WDW visits) with my DH who has not been to any DIsney Park.

I would appreciate any tips as how to maximize attractions and minimize waiting time. In WDW I have used TGM with great success but here I have no experience.

We are in our 20's, no children, so Fantasyland is of least importance.

We will have a one day hopper ticket, and will be there from rope drop to closing.

Should we go first to the Studios and hit ToT and RnR and Crush or go to DP and hit BTM and Space Mountain?

It's all very confusing and I thank you all for your help

I would make sure Crush's Coaster is my first ride. Depending on how crowded it was I might stop at ToT for a fastpass, or after coming off of Crush get a FP for either RnR or ToT and get in line for the other.

Yeah, I agree with Crush's Coaster because that can get extremely busy all of the time so I would go there first. Then get a FP for the Tower of Terror is necessary and then Rock and Roller Coaster isn't usually crazy so I think you could just get in the standby line for that.
Then once you have done that, you should hopefully get Space Mountain and also Big Thunder done too because for each of the three dates you are planning on going on Disneyland Park is open until 11.00pm so you should be able to fit them in, I don't know if that would leave time for the parades, fireworks etc.
These sites also might help a lot more: www.dlrpmagic.com and www.dlrpreview.com .
Enjoy your trip.

Wow. One day? Good luck!

Yep, hit the studios before listed opening. See what the TOT FP is - if it`s half an hour away grab one then run for Crush's coaster (to the right of the animation hat). If FP is no good then do Crush first and then ToT. Before you go, see what the line is like for Armageddon and the FP for RnRC. If RnRC FP is half an hour away get one then do Armegeddon. If the FP time is no good or standby is short do Armageddon and then RnRC. Armageddon is worth it for a first timer, and RnRC looks very different to Orlando.

Then head to Disneyland Parc. First Space Mountain M2. Either standby or FP depending on times. If the FP return is a while you could do Star Tours in French. Or see how Buzz Lightyear should be - don`t waste your SM:M2 FP on buzz though. If you want to do Buzz via FP do SM:M2 via FP first. Next I`d say it`s a small world. Worth it for the difference to Orlando and the sheer scale. Same for Peter Pans Flight - though it is very popular. You may want to get a FP for it and then eat as you wait. And take in the gorgeous Fantasyland. Next, Pirates of the Caribbean. Amazing. After that make your way to Big Thundermountain. The FP return will probably be a while away. If it isn`t, ride it. If it is, get a FP then do Phantom Manor and return for you FP BTM, then do PM. If you have time try Indy. It`s okay, queues are not normally crazy, and you can say you`ve done it. Just don`t waste your BTM FP on it.

If you have time left maybe try Pinocchio or Snow White in Fland, go into the castles dungeon to see the dragon or take a walk around Adventure Isle.

August has long hours, don`t miss Fantillusion (best seen from the hub) or the fireworks. And don`t miss the interior shops of Main St as well as elsewhere. They are spectacular.

Be ready for a looooong day. It`ll be worth it.

Thanks for your very detailed and informative plan

Can I use a fast pass if the time frame has passed? In WDW there is no problem

If your desperate to ride Crushes Coaster then go first thing, if not then I would probably give the stuios a miss alltogether unless you have some free time. If you do then everything is worth seeing but very little is mind-blowing (I've never ridden CC though).

Bear in mind though that RnRC and ToT are very different to the Orlando versions, and Armageddon is unique just like Crushes Coaster is.

The coaster is lots of fun, has some nice surprises and is farily unique in Disney experiences. If you`re in the area I`d say go for it, but don`t plan on spending more than 3 hours max in the studios.

I'll be there that day too.

May I advise you to experience the WDS the morning, and use Fast pass. May be you should not see the Stunt Show which is less impressive that at WDW even if cars runs faster in France.
For the parade, I really advise you watch it in Fantasyland, even Fantillusion, or arrive 1h befor Fantillusion and stay around the Central Hub.
The best view for Enchanted remains between the end of Main Street and the Central Hub.
BUT beware, Fantasyland and the castle stage areas are closed for the fireworks !!!

ooops, forgot about the ToT (my excuse is that I've not ridden it) and RnRC differences. Armageddon doesn't really do it for me and the shows such as animagique could, IMO, be missed without too much consequince. That said, if you go to the studios first thing and blast round it, you shouldn't have too much of a problem fitting in the main attractions in the Disney Land park.
