Oh cool! We may be going for the first time next May! My father wants to stay at one of the DL hotels so if the monorail goes through the DL hotel that would be perfect for us!!! :sohappy:

Sorry to dissapoint you but when I was there in January 2003 the monorail does not go to the Disneyland Hotel. It kind of goes through the Grand Californian Hotel but it doesn't stop there. The only two stops for the monorail were in Tomorrowland and in Downtown Disney Monorail station.

Unfortunately, the original Fantasmic probably won't be running when you're there. It is FAR SUPERIOR to WDW.
There's the full scale Mark Twain Riverboat at the finale, the full scale "Peter Pan pirate ship" instead of Pocahontas, and much less reliance on the mist screens. Although WDW's "stadium seating" is more convenient, there's something about sitting on the banks of the Rivers of America, feeling the mist and the heat of flames on your face.
