Congrats on your first WDW trip and on the honeymoon! You will love it!

You stated you will be there for 10 days, but how many days do you have park tickets for?

I would recommend going to all 4 parks at least once to see how you like them! Depending on how many days you have park tickets for, you can go to your favorites for additional days. My favorites in this order: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney Hollywood Studios, and then Animal Kingdom! We were there for 7 days total, but had park tickets for 6 days. We went back to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT again!

We went in spring break of 2013 and also stayed in the All Star Music Resort. I think we were in the Jazz section as well!

Check the weather forecast for when you will be there and plan accordingly. WDW weather is starting to get into the humid and hot times, with rain! Purchase you a pancho before you get there to use if it rains!

As mentioned above, you can download maps of the parks and start planning what rides, etc that you would like to see! You can also go on YouTube and see videos as well!

Definately take good quality cameras and/or get the picture package to capture all of your memories! If you go the camera route, make sure to get a large memory card and/or plenty of smaller ones! You might also want to take your laptop and save your pictures you took to your computer every night! You might also pick up an extra battery or two so you will also be able to take pictures when you want!

Get you a cheap pedometer if you don't have one, as it will be interesting to see how much you walk around.

Get COMFORTABLE shoes, as listed above, you will be doing A LOT of walking around.

Congratulations! I would recommend you get the Unofficial Guide to WDW to assist you with all your planning needs.
Oh, and make sure you try a Dole Whip Float in the MK! :-)

Have a wonderful time!!! Be sure to pick up your celebratory button -- you'll get tons of congrats from CMs and perfect strangers. We celebrated our anniversary there last year and received a lot of extra free desserts, and even a special song from the band in the Mexico pavilion!

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding !!!!
So much great advice from all.... my advice, definitely take time to enjoy each day by pacing yourself.... just take it all in. There is nothing like your first time at WDW. I still remember walking into the Magic Kingdom for the first time, about 36 years ago (WOW :jawdrop:) !!! You couldn't have picked a better place for a honeymoon !!!
Enjoy......

Hi All! I'm very new to this site, I love it! Me and my Husband are going to WDW Florida from the UK for our Honeymoon on the 4th June this year for 10 days, and I'm really having trouble planning! Please could I have some general tips for first timers? It is also our first time in the USA so any tips about the change would be great also! Thank you!!!

Well congratulations and welcome to the forum. We're from the uk too and love going over every year to Florida. Are you renting a car? If so, here's a tip.

A big difference is turning on traffic lights in Florida. If you're making a right turn at lights, you can do it whilst the lights are showing red as long as no traffic is coming. The exception is if the red light is displaying an arrow which means you have to wait for a green light before going. If you don't know this you could be at the lights on red waiting to turn right on green wondering why people behind you are honking their horns and going crazy.
