First split hotel stay at New (for us) Resorts

I just booked a split stay at Boardwalk for one night and the rest of week at AK-Kidani Village. We are using our DVC points and this was the only way we could get the whole week we wanted. We are going to be in a Studio room with Savanna View.

I am not familiar with Kidani Village at all, anyone have any hints or details about the resort?
Is there a good section of rooms to make a request for?

We just left Kidani. We stayed in a one bedroom. I requested a room close to the lobby. It worked well and was easy access to lobby, bus and pool. They do have a shuttle between Kidsni and Jambo house because it can be a bit of a walk especially if it's hot.
