First Ride-Through Video of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Disney has posted a YouTube video on their Disney Travel Professionals Channel comparing the actual Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride-through with their concept CGI video. Here it is:

That looks like a tamer version of BTMR. It's got great views of the Castle at night, and I do like the mine part, I hope they keep the dwarf projections. I DO think though, as it IS a mine train, that more of it should have been actually IN the mine, but hey, I'm not an imagineer.

The video definitely deserves its own thread.

Did anyone notice at 37 seconds it transitions to the tunnel like they edited the clip? My guess is there is more inside the mine scenery but they don't want to spoil it. At least I hope so, I was expecting something like splash mountain (or close) in terms of length of the dark ride portion, maybe I'm misguided as to what this will be.

Misguided... Won't be anywhere close to Splash Mountain... setting yourself up for a huge disappointment...

haha, won't be that crushed. It will be awhile before I even get down there again to ride it, thing will be old news by then. Anyway I at least hope its longer than the clip, otherwise I would say the inside ride is too short. However the clip looks edited to me at that 37 sec mark so my guess is there is more...

As I said originally, imo I agree with a few here who said the video deserves its own thread, not buried in the "mine train chat" that is a long discussion about many aspects of the ride and no one would think to look or discuss specifically this video. I do see the other two threads you linked, 1 is a thread showing the trains riding by, which is nothing new and could have gone into the main discussion thread. The other seems to have been left for dead -ostensibly because it was repetitive, and I didn't see it...

Yes, the ride is short, probably less then two minutes.Here is a diagram of the track layout. The video cuts out before the cars enter the mine in the upper right of the diagram, and starts back up just as it comes around the curve just inside the time, so you can see that there isn't much more there.

I think we determined that the ride will be a little longer than the clip... They obviously edited portions out... But I wouldn't go out and say it would be much longer than the clip.... I believe the time is under 2 minutes...

I thought it was said to be at least 2 min 30 sec... Maybe that's with the load time..... What the hell happened to Fire/Bald Mountain Oh $ and creativity .....
