First magical cupcake

Yup- this is such a personal preference thing. As I sit here up to my eyeballs in cake stuff making a banana pound cake w/pineapple mousse filling and mandarin orange buttercream :D I can tell you that some people are chocolates, some people are vanillas, and some people don't really get the wow factor unless the entire flavor profile is non-traditional. So, I'd ask yourself what base flavor best suits you and then go from there. :)

I can be over soon if you want to make another!

I'm on a cake hiatus right now. :) This was a bday cake for my daughter and for whatever reason, the kids' cakes really zap my cake energy. Although I'm pretty pleased with the finished cake (and it tasted good too!)- not a Disney theme this time, but it did get me thinking about flavors for our Disney cake as well.

The parents are always amazed when a fun cake can get their kids to try new and interesting cake flavors.

But I do need to start getting inspired for my next flavor. I have one cake booked for late October and one for early November.

Wow that is amazing. My kids love flavors that are different. Hummingbird is a favorite. I have never cupcaked at Disney but maybe this time we will have to try.

Thanks! I wish we could do hummingbird. DD6 has severe nut allergies and the cake just seems to lack something w/o the pecans. I would still recommend trying some cupcakes at WDW. Just sooooooooooo many options! :)

I came back on sunday from WDW. My first cupcake was the Chocolate Peanut Butter one at Starring Rolls Cafe. My sister and I shared this treasure and were very happy with it! Yummy! :)

I totally disagree with this statement. You can find lots of unique cupcakes at WDW... Red Velvet and Butterfinger at Starring Rolls, Zebra cupcake and Simba paw print brownie (not a cupcake but still as delicious) at Kusifari Bakery in AK.. Cappucino cupcake at Pizza Planet. I do notice that mostly Sweet Spells, Confectionary in Mk carry the typical choc or vanilla cupcake with colored icing and those are pretty much the same at both places. But WDW is a great place to find different kinds of cupcakes!

I would go with the Red Velvet cupcake at Starring Rolls for your first one! OR - if you're more a vanilla cupcake lover, the Marble one there is pretty good too!! Declicious buttercream frosting!
I'm amazed that it took this long to hear mention of the Butterfinger cupcake!! It is tremendous!! I will somewhat agree with the statement about the rice crispy treats, they are usually on the stale side. Many of the cupcakes might be the same or similar, but they all are very good/great!!
