First kid free trip!

So I woke up this morning, just like any other sat morning and made breakfast for the family. As we all sat together eating my wife surprised me with a trip Nov 13-15 at WDW for our 16th anniversary with a caveat: no kids! DS14 & DS11 were ok with it as they get to hang out with their uncle and cousin who they rarely get to see. Win win right!?!

Since she decided yesterday and booked everything, we had no choice but to stay at Wyndham hotel off property(only open rooms were at WL) but quite close and I get to see the Osborn lights and MK all lit up! Always been a bucket list item and now I get to check it off the list!

Hoping this week doesn't drag by!

DH and I spent a day at MK with no kids last year and it was a totally different experience. We got to go slow and enjoy the scenery and ride/watch things that we haven't been able to do since we were always out voted by the kids on previous trips. It was a great day. No arguing, no rushing from ride to ride, no whining. Ahhh I think I'm ready for another day at Disney now!!

I think the going slow and taking it in on top of first time seeing the Osborne lights and Magic Kingdom decorated for Christmas is what I am most excited about. Will def be doing my first trip report with this one!

That is so awesome!! It's been almost two years since my wife and I have done WDW without kids...not sure what we'd do now without a stroller to push around haha.

Enjoy your trip!!

We did our first trip last December, and it was great. At times it felt strange not having the kids, but it passed as quick as it came. We have done two more trips since then, and are taking our third starting the day after you leave. Have fun and enjoy the time as a couple, and Happy Anniversary!!

Have fun and enjoy that time alone. My DW and I leave in 4 days for our parents only trip to the world. It's such a completely different experience without kids. Really get to enjoy a lot more then you will realize.

Hate to see this show go but glad I got to catch it one more time!

Next up the Osborne Lights and capping the night off with Minnie's Holiday dinner @ Hollywood & Vine
