First February trip

I am heading to WDW at the end of Feb. My past trips have been in Sept, Oct and Dec mostly. I have never been in Feb. What can I expect weather wise? Any special events I should know about?

Feb can be similar to December. It can be a bit all over the place...potentially very chilly or pleasantly warm. I don't know when you're going in February, but I know crowds are heavier around President's Day weekend and from my FL resident days, I know a number of couples like to go around Valentine's Day.

There is the Princess Half Maraton, 2/20-23, I think. That will bump crowds up very slightly. Other than that, the end of February is an excellent time to go.

As @HouCuseChickie said, the weather is variable. Last year I had family members who went in February and were astounded to find that it was so cold that they had to bundle up every day. (Coming from upstate NY, they thought they'd be shedding the winter gear and wearing shorts for the week.) Instead of Dole Whips, they clung to cups of hot cocoa. Still, they had a marvelous time and thought that the cold weather probably diminished the already-low crowd level even more, so it worked to their advantage.

A few days before you go, check this site (type in "Orlando, FL" for the location): http://www.vacationpacker.com/. It's a great way to get a snapshot of what you might expect to need to pack. Regardless, bring lots of layers so you can adjust, in case the forecast turns out to be wrong.

This will be my second February trip and we've traveled twice in January. Weather can vary greatly from day to day. I've been in shorts and a tank top, worn a jacket and had to break out the coat all in one trip. It's a great time to be there though. Crowds are low and wait times are low. Have a great time!

We're there from February 4-27 last year. Crowds were great with the exception of the last few days with the Mardi Gras crowd. We saw only one tour group, no big problems with them. Weather was mild with a few chilly days (one weekend temps were down to 34F during mornings with highs of 50F throughout the day) but a sweatshirt was all we needed. It drizzled once but that was it for rain.

I would love to be at WDW for that long, our 7 day visits just go to fast, the next thing you know your heading back home.:(

I have WDW weather on my weather app, and the last couple weeks the temps have been all over the place. This has been a crazy weather winter anyway. I would think it a good idea to plan for 70s and for 50 (during the day). Unfortunate to have to bring "everything"; but the alternative is to be buying clothes once you are down there.
