First D-Land Trip! What R Not to be Missed?

Yup, that schedule should definitely be doable! I've done more than that during Spring Break before. And I would definitely reccommend the Friday, just to get Fantasmic. Like others have mentioned, get there fairly early in the day and get the long lines (Matterhorn, Peter Pan, Splash, etc.) out of the way before all the AP holders show up for the evening. (Remember that Disneyland tends to be much more of a locals' park than WDW)

And as for the March 4 BTM reopening, I'd still like to stress that date is not officially announced. Meaning that it MAY not hold. I sure hope it does, and that is the rumor circulating around the CMs, but it has not been announced. :)

I just did basically the SAME thing you're doing!
I was a CM in WDW, so I'v done everything down there (give or take), but I had never been to Disneyland. I had the chance to go (We were in Sacramento over the holidays) but we only had ONE day, and it was 2 days before New Year's Eve. I spent the whole trip form Sac to Anaheim making out an itinerary so I would be READY.
We got to do everything I wanted to do - I'm sure it helped that there were only 2 of us.

My tips would be to GET THERE EARLY (Friday, to take advantage of the hours). We were at the park by 7:45, and in Adventureland by 8:02.
TAKE ADVANTAGE OF FASTPASS! But also pay attention to wait times (sometimes they surprise you). We got FP for HM, rode Indy (10min wait - only time we went by where the wait was less than 90min), rode JC, got a FP for Splash, rode Pooh, rode Pirates, rode HM, looked around N. Orleans Sq., rode Splash(all by noon!), ate at Blue Bayou, rode Matterhorn, got FP for IASW, saw Tiki, rode Storybookland boats, Matterhorn again...man, I'm forgetting stuff...I know we eventually rode the Monorail, Matterhorn 2 more times (It was AWSOME! one side is better than the other, but I'm drawing a blank as to which), Alice, Pinocchio, JC again, Mr. Lincoln, saw Believe, saw Fantasmic, and did LOTS of shopping and eating (Don't forget the DOLE WHIPS!)and met a few characters. AND we had time to breath, and occasionally even enjoy ourselves

You have a good list, especially the things you can ONLY see in DL, and the originals. I'd say JC is a priority (ask a SKIPPER if it's better than the one in WDW if you need to be convinced!)
You may want to ride the train from Tomorrowland to MainStreet - you can see the Grand Canyon Diorama (a Walt Project) and the Dino scenes from Walt's Ford exhibit at the 1965 World's fair.

Also, start looking for all those neat little things as you wander the park: Walt's apartment above the Firehouse (can't go in it, but it's neat to know it's there). Also, go through the castle and just before you enter F-land, look down. In the ground is a metal spike. It's not marked, but it used to mark the original geographic center of Disneyland. I know there's plenty I'm forgetting....

Anyway, good luck, and enjoy yourself. I know I had a blast!

just pointing out a couple things to avoid confusion.

DL opens at 9:00 right now. The point is correct, be here when it opens.

The Tomorrowland station for the railroad is currently closed. I don't know why or for how long. EDIT: I just saw MKT post and TL Station is scheduled to open 2/22.

May have been mentioned, didn't read whole thread, but Storybookland is MUCH better at night, although if you are on one of the very first boats you can see....."oh no...what's that?....AAiieee-giant ducks are going to destroy the tiny houses!"
