Am I going or nuts or just cannot find the information. I thought I read there was some kind of boat you could go on to watch the fireworks, and I thought desert was included. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe I dreamt this up!

Illuminations or Wishes?
There's a 44 foot Sea Ray that you can charter for wishes.
My wife and I did that once, with dinner and whole deal.
It was like $650.00 when it was all done.

I think it was the Wishes fireworks. And I thought it was for a bunch of people on the seven seas lagoon. I still think I dreamt this up LOL:snore:

Maybe you are thinking about the Grand Gatherings. If you have a party of eight or more people I think you can book a Wishes firework cruise for your party and I think Peter Pan meets you on the dock or something. Also for Illuminations you can book a desert reception with a great view for the show. Does that sound accurate? Allearsnet.com should have all the information on this or you can always call Disney direct.

Wow! That sounds so romantic, hopefully one day me and my hubby can do that. How was the food? Did the boat leave from the Grand Flordian dock?

It left from the GF dock. The boat is a fantastic motor yacht, I own a 34 footer and that is nothing compared this boat.
We had a salmon dinner, and it was ok.
It was the whole atmosphere that was so special, there were 2 attendents.
We had drinks and watched the fireworks from the aft cockpit.

I can't remember exactly but it was like $450.00 for the boat and $200.00 for dinner and drinks

Cool, maybe we can hook up, we are staying at a condo (we get it for free) but two of the days we have to stay at a hotel. I think we are going to Universal Hard Rock, and do Universal. Well have to keep in touch to see how our schedule works out!

It does seem SOOOO FAR away

The Yacht that leaves from the Grand is $400-450 an hour. That includes a captain and a skipper. You can have anything your heart desires catered from the Grand's Private Dining. I have heard that we are getting a new yacht this year, but nothing official yet.

You can also book chartered pontoon cruises on the Seven Seas Lagoon from the Grand as well. They leave at different times during the day and night, so just make sure you request the time that would allow you to see Wishes. It is important to note that these are not fireworks cruises. They are just cruises in front of the Magic Kingdom during which you will most likely see the fireworks. Now having said that, it is kind of understood that if you book the last cruise of the night you want to see fireworks.

The basic specialty cruise from the Grand is $225. That gets you the boat, driver, bag snacks (chips, pretzels, etc), sodas/bottled water and holds up to 8 people. It's really quite a fantastic deal considering what you get. It's a lot of fun, and I highly recommend it if you get the chance.

I've seen Wishes hundres of times, so for me any time I get to view it differently I jump at the chance. Hope this helps!

Just wondering, do you work at the Grand Flordian? Sounds like it from your post. The GF is my favorite resort, we stay there every time. Can wait to go back in December!

Sure do. I love working there. You can't imagine how inspiring it is to see the sun rise over the castle every morning. Some of my fellow Cast Members think I'm nuts b/c I spend 5 or 6 days in the parks even after I've worked...but how can I help it?? :D

Okay lets keep in touch and see what happens. Who are you traveling with? I will be with DH and my three girls (ages 11, 5, & 4).

It sounds sooo nice to work there! Everyone there is so nice, who knows maybe I saw you in December we were there the 1st-9th. Oh-do you know Ellen the Guest Services Manager. She is our "friend". She helped make our last vacation very magical!! She is the best!
