Fireworks from the Beach?

I got the great idea from some veterans on this site to skip using a full park day just to see the last night of Summer Nightastic Fireworks above the castle, and instead go to the beach of the Poly and watch/listen from there.

Is the Poly the best beach to watch from? Where is the beach - how do I make my way there after getting off the monorail? And can we carry drinks onto the beach?

Thanks!:)

Yes. The Poly beach is the best place to watch the fire works from outside of the parks save for the California Grill at the Contemporary. The beach is right next to the water...Duh.:p:lol: From the monorail go into the Poly take the stairs to your right down to the 1st level. Then take a right out of the automatic doors at the bottom of the stairs and head toward to pool. Go past the pool and you hit the beach. Yes, you can take drinks to the beach.

SASSY:lol: Thank you - that sounds wonderful! (Guarantee I'd get lost and never find the beach. I have a talent...) Now just have to figure out how to tell my family that my boyfriend and I want alone time our first night there...hey, we're 27 and 32...we deserve it!

You really can not miss the beach at the Poly so you should be fine. With telling you family I have found that the direct approach works best. Most rational people will understand.

Also love watching them from Fort Wilderness down by Pioneer hall on the Dock. The music is playing and you have a pretty view of the Fireworks over the water surrounded by the woods. I love the Poly the best for viewing but enjoyed the different view and atmosphere from Fort Wilderness as well.
