Fireworks Dessert Party question

My daughter and I are planning to see the night parade and fireworks at MK on Wednesday November 19th. If we were to book the post fireworks dessert party, how does that work for parade viewing? It says check in is an hour prior to the fireworks. So if fireworks are at 9 and the parade is at 8, how does that work? Would we not be able to see the parade?
