I understand there was a fire in the parade building last Friday that resulted in the loss of some costume pieces for MSEP and smoke damage to some of the day parade costumes. The parade was able to go out as normal after some costume items were sourced from elsewhere. Speculation is that it was related to some battery systems. Anyone know anymore?

I don't know if this is related or not, but Pete's Dragon was not in EITHER parade showings last night. None of the CMs could really pinpoint why, but figured I'd bring it up.

If anything happened to it Disneyland is going to be very upset. They were afraid of sending the parade here in the first place, apparently because of disney worlds bad track record of taking care of things. oy.

My understanding is the Electrical Parade was fine and any damaged was to the MK Day parade only.
Meh, Disneyland should worry about taking care of their parades more. Block Party was a mess when we first got it. They had to rebuild the Monster Unit several times from all the damage it had when it ran in California.

I tweeted on this .We were staying at the CR(9thfloor).Right after the fireworks, RCFD trucks raced down Wd , past CR into the workers area.From my vantage point ,we could see flames coming from somewhere behind MK.I didn't see or hear anything on this so I that it was nothing of concern.
