I was sent a picture on my phone, it involves the Simba float. Just a lot of smoke in the picture, no flames. Could be minor, not sure yet though.

Isnt black smoke an indication of a fire? white usually is just overheating or something burst. THats not to say it can't turn into a fire, but it seems like it was minor overall.

Pretty sure if the next show happened, the puppeteer must have been fine or else there would have to be an OSHA investigation.

As I understand it, the other shows for the day were cancelled and the first one for tomorrow is cancelled as well.

I've heard that it was a pretty scary situation and the evacuation was not smooth at all. Sounds like people were pushing and shoving to get out.

I've seen posts on Facebook saying it was the Elephant puppet that was on fire. No word if the puppeteer is okay.
The elephant is an animatronic with minimal movement. No puppeteer involved.
I don't remember there being a fog machine on that float, so my guess is the motor or pump for the animatronic failed or sprung a leak, maybe?

As hubby is a former performer of the show (opened it in 1998...as a puppeteer) I can tell you, all four floats are puppets with puppeteers inside.
