Finding myself in someone else's vacation photos

Have you ever looked through your vacation photos and wondered who those people that are in the background are?
Have you ever realized that somewhere in the world you are in someone else's vacation photos? Since everyone here seems to have been to WDW, I bet it's possible that two people on this group are in a picture together but don't know it. :sohappy:
The first step would be to synchronize our vacation dates.
I visited WDW:
'83 first week of Jan
'84 first week of Jan
'84-'85 Dec 30 - Jan 1
'85-'86 Dec 30 - Jan 2
'86-'87 ""
'90 - 2nd week Feb
'95 - 2nd week Feb
'96 - 1st week Mar
'00 - 1 night in Feb (Pleasure Island)

The second step would be, in the event of a date match, compare pictures of yourself at that time (must have pic - physical descriptions won't cut it i.e "I'm the one wearing the Goofy hat")
The third step would be the 'exciting' process of looking through every pic taken during that time for a match.

Difficult process but it would be a cool thing to have a pic of yourself that you weren't aware of. It'd be a great avatar pic too.

Wow...lol. Yes I have wondered who they are but I'm not sure I'm willing to go through all that work. :D

I would love to see you or any other member match up that would be pretty cool! :D I'm just too lazy to do something like that though.

Well... I remember Tnkrbel once posted a picture she found online in which she was in the background crossing Main Street in the MK! amazing...

I worked in Epcot from Sept.98 to Dec.99. Wearing the white costume, I used to walk around the park greeting and giving "families of the day" tours of the Mexican Pavillion, also escorting the Three Kings there during their presentations at Xmas time, I was a presentator for Koffi Annan´s visit to Epcot in October 98, worked during Candlelight Processional in 98....

I also wore the plaid costume for Guest Relations at Millennium Central and at Millennium Village, from Sept. to Dec. 99.

If you were there for the Millennium Celebration openning ceremony, I was there too, wearing my own typical dress from my area of the country!

So... chances are I´m in one of your pictures! If so.... please post them and let me know! :animwink:

Funniest thing.

A couple years ago we were taking a picture on the bridge between the Odyssey Center and the Mexico Pavillion at Epcot. Just as we snapped the picture, and this always seems to happen to everyone at least once, a woman stepped in the way of the camera. She felt so bad and appologized and said that when we get our pictures developed, just remember that her name was Mary and tell everyone we knew her and she ment to be in the picture.

That was so funny that we used it for a Christmas card the next year! I would post the picture but I lost the negitive and the print is gone as well.

So, if Mary is out there, Hello! And a belated Merry Christmas! :D

Sorry, durhay, we've only been there in the months of April and August, so you're not in any of our pictures! (LOTS of other people are, though!)

No kidding, Maria, you look REALLY familiar...I'll check out our photos from April '99 right now.

When sometimes my parents filmed our trips, they humorously "interviewed" other families or people throughout the line and wherever we were filming at the moment. I saw the tapes so many times that the people look already familiar, and I guess they really grew old the last 20 years!

HAHA! Your ears must be burning sometimes when those vacationers get home and say "who the &#%&# is that #&&#%&# in our #&#&#% picture!!!"

Well, if anybody here was in the Millenium Celebration, from December 99 to January 2000, and took pictures near Custodials in Fantasyland and Adventureland, I may be one!! :D

Well, while we are on the topic. When you watch old Disney videos and you see a person, do you ever wonder where they are or if they are still alive?

I have a pic taken at the bus stop of coronado springs. I tried to take it of my family waiting for the bus , it was crowded and the people on the bench nearby all smiled too.. we tell people they are relatives... it is actually one of my favorite pictures..

Pretty Neat Idea!

As soon as I heard Maria worked as escort for the three kings, I put in my video I shot in 98'. I didn't see her. Oh well.

As for me I worked "Living with the Land" between May 95' - January 97'. Also through that time, I was seen in various locations around the park that wouldn't help much. So if you have any video of a dark haired tour guide named "Brian", post a picture, I would love to see a picture or get a copy of the video.

I'm Not Alone!

Strange that you mention that. After every vacation I think about this. I think about all of the times I've accidently walked infront of people's photos and how bad I feel afterwards. I know that I'm in many photos around the world. I would love to see one. I was in Disney World 1999, August 11th through 16th. Doesn't narrow it down but hey. :)

When I worked at the Studios, I was out and about in my area everyday. Well I would often take people's pictures and obviously be in the background of people's pictures. Well last summer I studied in France and met some cool people there from my state that went to different colleges around here. I met this girl who lived in my home town, then went to college about 2 hours away. Anyway she was telling me about her trip and we watched her video. She was goofing off with the camera and zoomed in on me doing my job, then walked up to me and asked me to take their picture by the Tower of Terror. Not only was I on their video, I took their picture and neither one of us remebered each other when we saw each other again. How ironic is it that we grew up very close together, went to college near each other, I took her picture at WDW and she video taped me. Then we had to go 4500 miles away to really meet each other and realize it!!!!

I find it funny!!!
