Finding DeVine?

My wife and I are not fortunate enough to go to Disney every year but this will be our third trip, and I have only seen Devine in photo never in person. The makeup is soooo amazing that I would love to get some of my own photos.

Does she still make appearances? Does she have any kind of schedule I can look up? How about the best place to see her?

Any tips would be appreciated.

According to Touring Plans she is still active and has performances throughout the afternoon (at least today). I am not sure if she performs daily though.

I usually see her right by the little counter service place before the Safari, where they have those bongos set up.

Maybe that is my problem. I was told to hit the Safari early so we do that first and do not get back there really in the afternoon.

I saw her in the morning a couple of weeks ago. She stays in the shade near the bongos. She still is very divine!!

I've seen her every trip. She's in the path between Asia and Africa towards the bongo drums.

Just saw her 4/27/13 on the path between Africa and Asia. She is amazing! When she is out, you will always see a group congregated on the pathway. . . oohing and ahhing; OR, you may actually be the first ones to spot her. Look for foliage that is slightly different from the surrounding foliage. This photo is from a previous trip. We see her almost every time we visit AK.

I've caught her many,many times on the pathway past Flights of wonder, in Asia moving towards Africa. She has been in the wooded area where you can see the Tree of Life across the river. Look for the crowd of people looking startled!!

She's incredible!! My kids loves to talk to her as if she is a living tree...and she kind of is. Yup, she is by the bongos!! Good luck finding her!!

She's not easy to see. I just watch for a crowd of people looking @ a tree. It's neat when she completely splits from the tree. This actress/gymnast is talented Good luck finding her!

It comes with the touringplans.com subscription. The subscription is worth the $12 (or $7, if you have an Unofficial Guide) and is sooo awesome. Customizable touring plans!! No thinking required! Check off what you want to do, it spits out a plan. Wish they'd done that when I was planning trips! Would have saved me a LOT of time!

If you take your phone to the parks and get behind for some reason (say the breakfast you thought would take an hour took 90 minutes and then you had to change a poopy child's diaper and clothing)...you can hit the Optimize and it will tell you the quickest way to do it all, on the spot.

But the Lines app alone is worth the cost, too, lol. I love that app!!

I second this. I got it at discount b/c I bought the book this year. I have to say, though, it has become an obsession for me. Nearly every time I am on my phone, I check out all the wait times at the parks. I love oohing and aahhing over the wait times, or how much shorter the single rider lines are for the rides that have them.
