Where can I find out how many days, or how many plusses are left on old park hopper passes? Is there a way to do this before getting to WDW? Thanks so much.

As far as I know there is not away to check before getting to Disney. I look for the same thing before we went a couple of weeks ago. I took a handfull of tickets to one of the Ticket Windows and they scanned each card and marked how many days were left on each one.

How many cards did they scan for you? When we went our resort said they could only scan 4 since that was how many people we had in are party and I had 8 different PH from trips past and could not remember if I had any left on some of them!

They say you can only scan the old cards at Guest Relations, and only in intervals of 5 cards per visit. (We have a ton with 1 or 2 options on them.)

Yacht Club front desk, however, checked some cards for us, but Caribbean Beach did not.

So hotels can do it too, then? That's good news! Any guest relations window can check it?

Anyone know why they don't tell you over the phone? Is it just that their system isn't set up that way (in which case they should change that for the future), or is there some strategy behind it?

To verify if there is any entitlements left on old ticket media, the tickets do need to be physically scanned in person by the original user at Guest Relations located at the entrance of any of the Theme Parks. Technically, old tickets cannot be verified at a resort, although exceptions are sometimes made if you are a guest of that resort.

Sorry, but there are both security and legal reasons why we cannot verify this information on the phone.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

Lobby Concierge at the resorts can check up to 6 tickets per reservation. No more. Each ticket, they must decode by hand, and hand key in. Once keyed in, they must go through a myriad of screens. Once through the myriad of screens, we have to manually go through ticket history to count how many days left. It's a time consuming process.

Guest Relations at the theme parks can quickly scan each ticket. They are your best bet to have media checked.

They scanned 10 or 12 of them for me. I had 1 card with 2 days on it that got mixed up with a bunch of old keys. This was at the Guest Relations outside the Magic Kingdom. I didn't find my ticket and she stamped void on the back of each one so I wouldn't have to worry about checking them again.

The very simple reason that Disney won't verify days left on a ticket is so that people don't resell tickets that have a day or two left on them. Old tickets didn't need biometrics and all that jazz so anyone could use the remaining day(s).

It is quite absurd to make someone wait until they get to the park itself to determine if they need to buy park tickets or not.

Which brings us to reason number two: they get MORE money from you because you buy more tickets when booking your package "just to be safe." You then get there and find out you already had days but, who cares at that point, they've already gotten your money agan.

It's quite a crappy policy and really lacking on the "service" part of customer service.

When we go back down we need 4 checked because some how we had 1 day left on 4 of our tickets which each pair were from different visits and we thought for sure we had used them all up! But hey! extra days doesn't bother me!
