Filming the xmas parade at MK

very crazy

Yes it was people everywhere, and so many people squeezed in certain areas to keep the effect of being overly crowded on the video.
Well it was crowded, free admission does that pretty fast.

Enjoyed it somewhat, but had more fun on big thunder when we got stuck on the lift hill number 2 and had to walk off.

I know that an email went out to the teachers and staff at the Orange County school district offering free admission to anyone who wanted to be an extra on Saturday. I don't know where else they fished for extras.

It seemed like everybody in the entire world was at the Magic Kingdom yesterday. At one point I was in Fantasyland and tried to walk over to the Haunted Mansion, but the walkway between Peter Pan and Small World was completely gridlocked. Parked strollers on either side choked of more than 70% of the width, and in the middle was two walls of people trying to go opposite directions. I stood in one spot without moving for five minutes before I gave up and went to Tomorrowland instead.

I was there on Saturday. Pretty cool to watch the filming. One of the best parts was watching the people who REALLY wanted to be on TV. :lookaroun

Based on the number of women screaming behind and beside me, I'd say that Clay Aiken is a loved man.

That's pretty funny considering the filming on Friday the 5th was pushed back about twenty minutes because there weren't enough people in the crowd.

They filmed my son for 5 minutes Friday. Just kept the camera on his face and told him to keep smiling and waving at the parade. Hope we see at least a blip of him on TV!!:sohappy:

First, my son wants to be famous so bad, he can't stand it. (He's five, and has an entire comedic skit he performs to anyone who will listen.) So you can imagine what he was like when he found out that there was a chance we could get him on TV for this parade. He would not let us do anything else but go to MK and wait for the parade.

If he makes the cut, it will jsut be his face you see in the shot. The camera man was on his knees with the camera about a foot from my son's face.

Don't worry, if he makes the cut, I'll post pictures from TV. I plan to tape the showing *just in case*.

 (This is my son waving to the characters in the parade.)

And that's us at the Hoop Dee Doo last week in my avatar.
