Figaro Fries!...MELTED CHEESE ALSO

In a previous thread a while back, everyone was saying what their favorite, "Fast Grab" type of food at Walt Disney World was. I said mine was Figaro Fries and many people did not know what they were. So I am wondering, how many of you have actually had Fiagaro Fries and what were your thoughts. If you don't know what they are, heres the info:

Location: Pinocchio's Haus in Fantasyland
Details:

French Fries
Tomatoes
Bacon
Lettuce
Special Sauce (Ranch like)
MELTED CHEESE

They are amazing!

P.S.... Read my post on page two about my mistake :(

Figaro Fries make up a large portion of my diet! It's about the only thing at Disney for $3 that can be an entire meal for me! :slurp:  :slurp:

I especially love them with extra cheese sauce from the condiment bar! :slurp:

I had never even heard of them until the thread you just mentioned. These sound sooo good, I'm putting them on my list for my next visit.

Definatley add them to your list. Sometimes the staircase is open which allows you to this little cute balcony, try to get up there if you can!

I'd hear them mentioned many times, but I haven't ever had them and never thought to ask what made them so "special." They sound really good. [adds Figaro Fries to list of foods to try next trip, just under Zebra Domes]

I don't spend much time in Fantasyland but I can't believe I've never heard of these. There is a seating area with a balcony also?Zebra Domes? I'm feeling a little like a newbie!

Zebra Domes are at Boma in the Animal Kingdom Lodge. The balcony at Pinocchio's Haus is very small, three or four tables, and is sometimes not even open. There is a staircase inside Pinocchio's which leads you up there. I love it there becuase no one knows about it. Me and my family's little secret. So...if I see people up there now I will ask to see if they are from the website. :p

They also have them at the food court (Mara) in Animal Kingdom lodge, so if your Mom fancies a quick hit, she can get them from there ;)

MMMMMMMMMMMM figaro fries!!!!! Best snack by far, IMHO. My son would say the best snack was the Chili Cheese fries at Peco Bill's but he's just a kid, what does he know anyway. J/K Love the Figaro Fries.

I had never heard of these, but now I'm wanting some for lunch. Are the tomatoes diced and the lettuce placed underneath, like a bed? I'm thinking a homemade version might at least make me think I've had some.

5 egg yolks
¼ cup + 1 tablespoon sugar

1. Melt milk chocolate.
2. Whip heavy cream to soft peaks.
3. Mix yolks with sugar.
4. Soften gelatin leaves in cold water.
5. Mix gelatin with Kahlua and coffee. Set bowl over hot water bath to dissolve the gelatin.
6. Fold 1/3 of whipped cream into the chocolate.
7. Add the yolks, then the gelatin mixture.
8. Fold in the rest of the cream.
9. Pour mousse in flexipan domes almost to the top.
10. Place sponge circle (1/4" thick yellow cake cut in a circle) on top. Leave in the freezer to set.
11. Once hard, unmold and place in glazing racks.
12. Make white chocolate ganache and chocolate ganache.
13. Put chocolate ganache in a pastry bag. Ladle white chocolate ganache to cover each dome. Simultaneously, pipe a stripe design of chocolate ganache over the dome.

They are a yummy cake dessert... see the above recipe for an idea and barnum posted a pic on the previous page. They aren't hard to make, just a little time consuming. If you can bake a cake it shouldn't be too hard.
