Epcot Cheap room for 5?

Looking for a Disney Resort that has a room that can sleep 5.
Husband & Wife :o, Two Boys :hammer::p and a Brother-in-law . 2 queens and a sofa would be great but need to keep the price under $400/night?

How old are the boys? If one is small, Port Orleans Riverside is a possibility. They have little trundle beds that pull out from under one of the beds. But the rooms would be small. (regular rate $170 weekday; $180 weekend plus added fee for fifth person, about $25, I think)

Another possibility is a family suite at the All-star. This would give you much more space. This might be your most economical solution if the POR room is too small for you. ($230; $250)

Fort Wilderness cabins I think are a good value. There is almost as much space as the family suite, and there is a kitchenette. It sleeps six. ($315; $330)

Your other choices are: Comtemporary ($325), Poly ($415), Grand Floridian ($449), Beach or Yacht Club ($338), all of which are pretty expensive.

The Wilderness Lodge Deluxe rooms on the club level sleep 6 ($605). There might be some rooms like this at the Animal Kingdom Lodge as well, but they might be the 1-BR at $825.

Or you could go with a DVC 2-BR villa. But they're going to be all well over $700.

All the rates I gave are for regular season and standard view. They will be lower in the value season, and higher in the peak and holiday seasons. And upgrading rooms always costs more, of course.

For under $400/night you have a ton of options. I think you best 2 options would either be the value suites at All Star Music or the Cabins at Ft Wilderness. Both offer mini kitchens and somewhat separate sleeping quarters. The value suites go for between $184-$328 per night and the Cabins will be between $256-$410 before any discounts.

Feel free to drop me a line. I would be more than happy to work up a quote for you with your options and help you get everything booked.

Without going to a Deluxe or Deluxe Villa, you are not going to get the queen beds. (although the All-Star Music family suite has 1 queen bed).

Values and Moderates and the Cabins have double beds.

I'm not sure of the ages of the boys, but you could consider 2 rooms at Pop or All Stars. 2 rooms gives you 2 bathrooms and 4 beds, you could request connecting rooms too. I'm sure that 2 regular rooms would come in under $400/night

I would go with 2 "connecting" rooms at POP century. that way you have TWO bathrooms for getting ready in the morning, etc. maybe the boys could all split up in the 2 rooms. will be way under $400, I can guarantee that....

If you don't mind staying in a non Disney owned Resort you could also try the Doubletree Guest Suites located in DTD on Hotel Plaza Lane. They easily could sleep six within the two rooms that make up the suite. You can find more info in the Offsite Hotel Forum here on WDW Magic. I personally left a couple of comments about my past trip in May 08' that you may find helpful. Have a wonderful trip!

All but WL and AKL, I believe.
Correct. The closest you will get in the resort is a bunk bed configuration that sleeps 5 (queen, 2 bunks, day bed) The DVC rooms at each of those resorts do however have additional bed configurations that will sleep 6+. My personal favorite for a party of 5 baring the cabins or the suites would be the Poly or the Contemporary. Both have the 2 queen day bed configuration and are the largest standard rooms on property.

Try POR - it sleeps 5.
Or try a suite at one of the All-Star Resorts (I can't recall which ones have suites, but I believe the ones that do will sleep 5).

While the rooms with 2 queen beds and a day bed are spacious there is no privacy for a lady, especially a lady with her BIL staying. I vote for the suites or a cabin.

I second this notion. POR technically sleeps 5, with the trundle bed, but that's 3 adults and 2 kids crammed into a standard hotel room with ONE potty.

I'm not sure how close the OP and BIL are to each other, but probably not to the extent of sharing bathrooms and dressing areas.

Deluxes are pricey. All Star Fam Suite is the best bet. It's what I recommend for any party of 5 or 6 on a budget. Even if they're not on a budget, it's silly to pay for the Deluxe Rooms and still be sharing too much air with each other.

Villas are nice, but pricing depends on what season you travel in.

Such a crap shoot. That's why I've started a bill through congress to limit all families to 4 people. Having that 5th Wheel just makes Travel Planning so much harder

Thank You all!!:sohappy:

We have decided on two connecting rooms at Swan & Dolphin. Just over $300 / night for the two rooms, 2 bathrooms, walk to epcot for dinner & fireworks, & a great pool.

Start the countdown!
