So this random thought came across my mind... Are the Pumbaa and Simba puppets from the Festival of the Lion King the same ones used as the ones that were originally used in Legend of the Lion King at Magic Kingdom?? I'm probably totally wrong on this guess.. Actually, I'm sure I'm wrong. But you never know.

From my understanding, FOTLK reuses a bunch of assets from The Lion King Celebration that used to run in the Magic Kingdom. That's where the Simba and Pumbaa puppets come from, I believe.

EDIT: Actually it was held in Disneyland oops (thanks for correcting me Rob)

As Rob said, the DAK show puppets are ex DL parade. Puppeteers are inside.

The Mk show had puppets on sticks operated from below and were far smaller:

Thanks for clearing that up! :) I obviously never actually saw the Legend of the Lion King show as it closed the year I was born, but from videos they looked similar!
