Festival of Fantasy Parade coming to Magic Kingdom in 2014

And as I've said from the beginning, this parade was designed to be seen at night. Why the operations people in the park keep insisting on using it as a day parade eludes me. (Yes, I know the lighting on the route isn't as adequate for it like it is in Disneyland, but it works well enough I think.)
Because we still have MSEP. Which is great IMO. Now if city hall gets tons of great feedback from last night and the next three, could MK add a dusk performance on select days? Maybe instead of the 1200 noon one during holiday weeks?

It looks great at dusk but I dont know if it was designed to be seen at night. The only on board lighting the floats have are the strobe lights. The MK parade route lighting package isn't the best, and the floats just have the same kind of lighting in place on them like DL parades or even Boo to You and Once Upon a Christmastime does.

Was awesome seeing FOF at 5pm with the Main Street lights and Christmas lights on! First time FOF has done a dusk performance! The stobes and fire looked awesome!
I agree, I was there as well then watched the frozen show right after. The dragon did look great at dusk.

I wasn't leaving that out in the open for you to decide. The parade was originally designed for night use. That's a fact. Magic Kingdom was supposed to spend money to upgrade their lighting, which they didn't, plus the operations people in that park still insisted in having the MSEP at night. It's just a bad political situation in that park.

Where are your facts? How do you prove your thesis, other than saying "it's a fact"? All the points you've listed seem to simply be opinion and hypothesis.

I'm not here to convince you that it's a fact. Not because I don't want to tell you, but because it's one of those things that would be too hard to talk about who I know without giving them away. So, you can either choose to trust me and what I say, or you can ignore me. I don't expect anyone to trust everything I say right off the bat, but so far, I believe I've been correct with everything that I've said on here so far, so I do at least have a decent track record to go on, but that's about it. Sorry I can't be more direct, but that's the nature of discussing this type of thing on a public forum.

I don't know where I remember hearing that but I do recall hearing FOF was supposed to also run at night and the lighting was indeed supposed to be upgraded. Didn't they upgrade the speakers or am I imagining that? It doesn't surprise me if TDO cut the lighting upgrades. They'll run MSEP until it collapses on Main Street. I guess it's too much to hope for a new night parade for the 45th. Maybe we'll get lucky for the 50th? LOL

I don't think any amount of upgrading lights would make this parade look great at night. Two of the floats from Japan were designed for daytime use and I think adding lights to either the floats or the parade viewing area would just wash out all these details or focus too much on the characters of the float and not the floats themselves.

This is one of the few actual insiders on here I trust. For those that don't know I believe he helped with a lot of info about the hub expansion before it was news. At least if my memory is correct. And it was also talked about on micechat how MSEP wasn't supposed to stay at our park for long. And since Disneyland's budget for the 60th was slashed to ribbons due to our Magic + scenario they were going to bring the MSEP back there for nostalgia purposes on a budget. SO Festival of Fantasy was going to be the day and night parade with 2 showings or something along those lines I recall reading. But then TDA got their budget back because anaheim is amazing and now they are getting an upgraded paint the night, leaving us with the old MSEP for another decade. Meaning TDO would skip on upgrading the parade route. So his story checks out in full as usual. There are people to be wary of on here, @TheVisionarySoul isn't one of them.

And then where would we be? If what you said above turned out to be true, MK would be just like DL with only one parade. Unless MK was planning to keep CADCT as the Day Parade. Hopefully DL will change when they finally announce PTN. Maybe I'm old fashioned/school but I like Disney Kingdoms with two parades.

Go read my post and If I need to refer you to the countless micechat articles discussing everything I guess I will.

I could not care less for any Disney daytime parade. They are only good for keeping other people out of my way.
