We need time for things to happen.
Nice! I forgot all about those publications! I think I may have one those papers from when my wife and I stayed at POFQ way back when. ...

These are the kind of things that used to make WDW 50,000 miles above any other resort\amusement park in the world.
WDW still a great place but that distance between itself and everything else is diminishing - and the removal of these type of resort specific ( not to mention super theming and immersive) items is an often overlooked - yet huge reason why.

As far as Dixie Landings outside of the name change I don't think it changed at all - when it became PORS.
I had a friend of mine that stayed there during the DLanding days and the way he described it was identical to the experience we had when it was PORS.

Loved Dixie Landings back when it was Dixie Landings.. we stayed there in 1999
Our first visit to Disney World, was when my son was 3, in 1992, we stayed at Dixie Landings and went to MVMCP, or whatever it was called back then. We haven't been back since, but doing a run over to Sassagoula Floatworks for beignets this year. DS has a memory like a steel trap, and even remembers where the room was. I'm lucky I remembered it used to be Dixie Landings!! LOL

Its where we stayed our first time also . We had a handicap room ( for my cousin) and it was the perfect location..
