Feb/March TRIP advice- HELP

I are planning a February/March visit to WDW and needed
some advice/help, since Ihave never been there at that time of year

1) what is the weather like?

2) why is Feb 13-April 20th considered PEAK season? (the hotel rates are the most expensive during this time). We were thinking of maybe going before Feb 13th to get a better rate.

3) are there any weeks/days to AVOID due to large crowds (like
Presidents week)?

Thanks for the help. We are maybe looking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge since the passholder rate is only $169

well...definitely avoid Presidents' Week...unless you want to see me :) I'm goin to AKL that week :) It's more expensive because there are so many school vacations this time of year and they are throughout March and early April (plus Presidents' Week), so they just call the whole period the peak season. If you go before Pres. Week, Splash and Thunder Mountain will most likely be closed, but if you wait...better chance of Splash being open. Your choice. I like Pres. Week...parks are open slightly later.

I called yesterday, and the cheapest quote they gave me (as a passholder) was $204 for a standard/ no view! Last time I went, I got the $169 rate for a savannah deluxe (bunk beds)

I agree with Kyle (though Cats rule, not "dogsrule"imho, :lookaroun). President's week is busy, but extended park hours give you the opportunity to visit early... then take a midday pool break... and return for the evening. Parks are busiest in the early/mid afternoon. You probably won't need FastPass in the morning, but might pick one up on your way out to your midday break... depending on return times.
