Hi guys,

When would you recommend a trip to Disneyland Paris? Could you suggest the best time for crowds taking into account school holidays in the UK or perhaps just say when your favourite time of year to visit is? I'm hoping to book a trip soon but would like to get some of your opinions of when the best time to go is. My last trip was in January and I had an amazing time, but it was SO cold. So everything considered, when is the best time to go?

Thanks for any posts in advance.

My favourite time is late November / December, because we never get to WDW for the Xmas season, and the whole place is lovely ... same temp as home! We've been at the end of Jan before and we absolutely froze in a blizzard; end of March and it poured down; July and it was packed. You can't pick the weather, just pick the season that you want to visit the most. The Bonfire Spectacular at beginning of Nov is good too.

Disney plus grey skies and freezing my behind off don't go well together for me. I've been to DLP in October and in early August. My, what difference did that make! It really is just no fun at all to sit in Big Thunder with your hands covering your ears to prevent them freezing off.

So July and August it is, despite the crowds. Paris is northern Europe, nothing we can do about it.

If I didn't have to plan in advance, I'd consider going for a short break in May, June or September - if the weather forecast is good.

Funny,

My best Disney trip ever was during a very, very cold early February. The temperature never got above 0 celcius, everything was frozen solid (including the waterfalls on the side of the Rainforest Cafe) but the crowds were almost non-existent. Granted that some of the rides made you very, very cold but that added to the thrill for me (I normally hate the cold, go figure).

Anyway, it was a winter wonderland as they say. What made it even better was a free upgrade to the Disneyland Hotel. I don't know why but I'm not complaining!

My father got that when he was there for a few days in off-season. Happy to hear you received the same surprise.

No-lines Disney is always worth it. I also saw some pictures somewhere, in some trip report, off DLP in winter. It did have a charm of its own. Hey, Northern Europe's got different seasons, far more than the American parks. Might as well enjoy it then.

We've been twice over Easter in April. The first time it was cold, but the second it was very hot - didn't pack enough shorts and even had to buy some t-shirts for our daughter as we didn't pack any! You never can guess the weather!! Easter does seem to have become a busier time, but still a good time to go.

Our last trip started on the 31st August, so we got the last night of fireworks etc... And then the rest of the stay, the park just got quieter and quieter. Good time to go, also the price dropped on that day as well!
