Favourite beer at epcot

Oh, I nearly forgot -- try all of the great Unibroue beers at Le Cellier. (They're the ones with the epic, art museum-worthy labels.) La Fin du Monde, Trois Pistoles, Maudite are all among the best beers on the planet. Not sure if they sold anywhere else in the Canada pavilion.

If you couldn't tell, I'm a bit of a beer geek. :drevil:

You should try Southern Tier beer as well. If youre a fan of Unibroue

I love the norweign beer, of course, in Norway.

Just to be a pain (semi beer snob, and a good part Norwegian) but Carlsberg (which is what they sell in the Norway Pavillon) is not Norwegian Beer (go figure)

Carlsberg is Danish.

I still have no idea why this is the beer they have in Norway.

It's parent compnay is a Norwegian conglomerate, but the Carlsberg brand is still Danish.

Not sure what Southern Tier has to do with Unibroue. ST is from NY and are doing typical US big beers like IPAs and stouts. Unibroue is from Canada and are doing Belgian styles. I wouldn't normally say anything but don't want people that like Belgians to go out and waste their money on ST.

Oh and count me +1 for being ed about Spaten biting the dust. One of the few good beers (for me anyway). That Altenmunster Oktoberfest stuff is crap. I've been to the Altenmunster tap house in Munich and it's not just because they don't import the good stuff. All their beer is crap. I'm sure some bean counter saw that a keg of Altenmunster is like a $1 cheaper and said, "why are we buying Spaten?" Because it's better beer, that's why.

The Epcot Manifesto
Bump.
There's been some discussion on the difficulty of bumping an older thread vs. starting a new one. I just wanted to show how easy it was to bump a thread.

For those interested, my favorite beer at Epcot is the Schöfferhofer Weizen at Biergarten. It used to be Franziskaner Weissbeir, but that has gone nation-wide and they have removed it it seems.

Ok a thread that I can really get into. A few years ago the Rose and Crown had Tennents and I would dream about that beer. But sadly, they don't carry it anymore :( So now I go to the Rose and Crown and I get a Carl's Combo. It is Half Bass and Half Stella. It has the same color of Bass but nice and smooth. My back up is always a good ole Harp.

I too was massively disappointed when R&C didn't have Tennet's anymore. But man did I get lucky at one of our local liquor stores a few months ago. They had 4 packs of it and I bought every one they had.
Having said that, I now enjoy Boddington's at R&C and if I knew how to post pics here I'd put one up of the 2 lovely young ladies who served me some on our last trip there.

Rather sit in the naughty chair than drink beer!! How you guys can even tip the stuff into your mouth after smelling it is something I just can't grasp.

It's just so gross...

But to each, his own!

Don't think there have been any big changes on the Epcot beer front since I last posted in this topic. In general I still believe that WDW could use more craft beer everywhere. At least there's Sam Adams (especially thematically appropriate at American Adventure!) but it'd be good to have more than the token options. I still go for Germany as the best pavilion for beer in Epcot.

And, y'all -- if you don't like beer, you don't have to click on the topic. Thanks.
