Marakesh is my favorite and before going gluten free Chefs de France, not sure if I could sit there and resist the wonderful bread LOL

While I don't know if I'd call them favorites, we've -for the most part- enjoyed our meals at Rose & Crown, Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Akershus, and Biergarten. We did not enjoy Marrakesh or San Angel, but in all fairness...it's been a long time since we've been to those and I've heard more positive things in recent years.

Biergarten is my favorite. Love Tutto Gusto as well. Teppan Edo was really yummy but not much different from local Japanese restaurants...so maybe try another restaurant first. Enjoy!

Chefs de France and Teppan Edo both blew me away. Trying Biergarten this trip, so we will see how it ranks! I disliked Via Napoli. San Angel had nice ambiance, but the food was too spicy for me. :( Boo to my boring palate!

1. Biergarten
2. Rose & Crown
3. Chef de France

Used to love Akershus before they screwed with the menu and made it character dining.

All three Japanese restaurants are my faves. I agree you can get Teppan Edo and Tokyo Dining anywhere but the Japanese CMs make it special. Katsura has some more authentic stuff, although looks like they dropped a few items that didn't go over well.

Nine Dragons had the same rep (can get it anywhere) but it was amazing and the service was great. Can't get that kind of food where I live. Maybe in the bigger cities.

Le Cellier gets honorable mention.

Haven't tried anything in Morocco or France yet.

OK everyone, I just tried Spice Road Table. It was great! The food comes in small portions, so you only get a few bites of each item, but you can try many different things that way. The waterfront dining is nice- we sat at the table at the railing overlooking the lagoon. Decor is lovely, be sure to check out the mosaic tiling around the bar area. The best item we tried on the menu was the Harissa chicken roll, but we also liked the lamb slider and the hummus/olives platter.
