Favorite Underrated Disney Animated Film

Hunchback of Notre Dame. While yes, the storyline was dark, it was still really well done. The music sounds like it's from Broadway, the entire thing just gives me chills in the good kind of way

I looooove Bedknobs and Broomsticks and the original Parent Trap. Great choices there

Yes! When I was in kindergarten many years ago I brought in Bedknobs and Broomsticks and made the teacher put it on, but no one else liked it. It's still an awesome movie.

The Emperor's New Groove: My top pick for most underrated Disney film. I never have understood why this one isn't more popular. It's funny, clever, unique, and who wouldn't want their very own theme song guy?

Pocahontas: I feel it would have been more popular originally if they had left If I Never Knew You in it. Pocahontas and John Smith really needed that moment together in the movie. Thank God for the 10th anniversary DVD :sohappy:

Hunchback of Notre Dame: In my opinion one of the best recent Disney movies in terms of animation. So what if it's too dark for the little kiddies? Us big kiddies loved it! Frollo ranks as one of the most underrated villains as well!

Hercules: I've heard the deleted songs from this one and feel it would have been better if they had kept Shooting Star instead of replacing it with Go The Distance *grumbles something about plotting revenge on Michael Bolton* Plus baby Pegasus is adorable. Awwwwwwww!

Mulan: I'd pick Eddie Murphy as Mushu above that over-rated Donkey from Shrek anyday

Tarzan: Someone already beat me to the punch - Phil Collins rocks!

Lilo & Stitch: Hey, SOME people under rate it *looks around suspiciously*

The Fox and the Hound: One of my favorites as a kid. While it doesn't compare with some other masterpieces it does hold a special place in my heart. I still remember dragging my mother to it for the 4th time

My theory is that the film has a lousy sounding title. I can't put my finger on for why, it just fails to inspire any interest. The film itself however is fantastic. One of my favourites.

The Rescuers Down Under. I absolutely LOVE that movie. Great animation, great music... I was captivated by that movie when I first saw it as a kid.

Gah! How could I forget that one?!

The trailers for the movie were bad too......they made it look very "kiddie"
