Favorite rides with babies

Heading to WDW in September with my wife and our daughter who will be 1 year old at the time of the trip. Last night my wife and I were talking about what rides we were excited to bring her on.

My question to everyone is what rides did your babies like, dislike and which ones got the best reaction?

Bonus question: which ride were you surprised that you could bring them on?

Thanks!

When we took our kids who were about 2 months the first time, 3-4 months the second, 9 months and a year, we took them on everything except for the rollercoasters. This included Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Pooh bear had the best reaction from them, tea cups made them laugh, and all of the fantasy land rides are great. Dumbo and small world are not to be missed. We took them on Pirates and HM because at that age, they don't know what is scarry and take their cues from the people around them. We taught our kids that HM is more silly than scarry and the the pirates are just having fun. My son who will be 4 next month loves HM and pirates, and my daughter who is almost 1 1/2 has never cried on a ride yet and seems more interested in everything that is going on.

My oldest son was 8 months on his first trip. He loved Haunted Mansion. I can only assume that it was because it was August and very hot out. The cold and darkness of the ride must have been nice for him.

When my youngest went he was almost 18 months and Small Word, TTA and the train were his favorites.

My son was 13 months when we went last month. He loves music so the two things that had the best reaction from the MK was the Country Bear jamboree and it's a small world. He rode pirates, winnie pooh, peter pan, rail road, aladians carpets, carousel of progress, and cinderellas carousel (with the horses). At Epcot he rode the Mexican ride, Figment, and Nemo. I'm sure there were more he could have rode, but he was only at Epcot half the day, it was too hot. His favorite at epcot was the mexican ride. We went to animal kingdom when he was just about a year old and he loved the safari ride, he was just watching everything and pointing saying dog or quack quack (all animals are dogs and all birds say quack quack in his mind) I've never taken him to Hollywood studios yet.

Our son at both 6 months and 15 months LOVED It's a Small World! He also like Buzz Lightyear.....we also bought the picture of him on that ride since it was the only one he could ride on where they took your picture....he looked so cute! He pretty much loved all the rides he could go on.....only one he was a little questionable on was POTC. I whispered in his ear all the things that were happening and sounded excited and he was ok. Loved Country Bears....clapped and nodded his head and danced to the music! We took him to see FOTLK and he LOVED it! All the bright colors and animals! He also liked the safari and AK and really liked the train ride over to Conservation Station, playing peekaboo with Jiminy Cricket and the petting zoo. Another favorite of his was the Tiki Room.

Also, don't forget about Hollywood & Vine Playhouse Disney breakfast and lunch! We have several reservations to it in September because he LOVED it soooo much while we were there when he was 15 months old! Be sure to take your daughter to Playhouse Disney Live as well!!!!! This was a big hit!

I always said I've never wait in line to see characters with my child and instead would just go to character buffets, but I was "bored" one day while dh kept riding EE so off to Camp Mickey and Minnie me and ds went. Dh got there just in time to see ds run up to see Mickey for the first time. He just about knocked him over! It was soooo precious! He was like this with EVERY character, except the princesses. He didn't like the ones that were dressed like "people", only in full costumes!

We just took our ds now almost 2 to Santa's Village (in the White Mountains in NH) and he loved it sooooo much. After he got off every ride he'd just keep saying, "more, more". So we're super excited to take him to Disney in September!

You're going to love reliving Disney throught the eyes of your daughter! Nothing like it! Enjoy!

Our youngest last year was 1 and she loved all the rides in Fantasy land. Dumbo actually put her to sleep. She also like HM and Pirates. The one she really loved was Nemo in EPCOT. We had to go on it about 5 times. Its a real cute ride.

I was SUPER shocked that my son met the height requirement for Kali River Rapids....and he was only 17 months at the time! Of course...I DID NOT put him on the ride...but that was a bit shocking...then again my son is a lot taller for his age then most toddlers his age. He even met the requirement for driving the car at Speedway! He enjoyed that the most...cried when we got him out of the car! For the most part he enjoyed a lot...he got on most rides minus the coasters. He loved PoTC which I didn't think he would. He loved seeing the dog with the keys! He started to bark..make ppl on the boat laugh!:D He also enjoyed Goofy's Barnstormer....laughed at every turn!

My kids DD12 and DS8 were each 6 months old on their first visits and they went on just about everything. I have to say they absolutely loved IASM, HM and POTC. I was really surprised that they didn't freak on HM and POTC because they are dark rides but, they both sat there with wide eyes just taking everthing in. They have been to Disney basically every year since and the only ride we ever had a problem with was Snow White when my DD was 2 she freaked when the witch popped out. After that a super nice CM gave her a flash light and told her she could use Mickey's special flashlight anytime she was scared, it worked and she went on everything with that flashlight clutched in her little hands. We used the flashlight trick with DS and we never had a problem.
Now that they are older both of my kids go on everything, they are ride junkies! My DS was 6 1/2 on our last trip and he was so excited to go on TOT and EE.

I also found the best " rides" to sit and feed/nurse your infant are HOP and COP. It's semi dark and relaxing, I always sat in the back row and my kids would eat or fall asleep no problem.

WE LOVE SANTA'S VILLAGE! We had planned to go there this summer, but opted to take advantage of Free Dining and go back to WDW for 9 days instead.

My daughter was 7 months when we were last there. We had her on every ride in Fantasy Land. I think the best that she probably most enjoyed was Pooh and It's a Small World. She really enjoyed the music. She will be 18 months when we go again and I am hoping she enjoys it more now that she is a little older. Have fun with your little one!

Last time I was there, I thought it was sorta strange, but I saw a mother bring a very small baby on Toy Story Midway Mania. Not that its is a crazy ride or anything, but it does have its jerky moments. She put the month old(??) baby on her lap and pulled down the bar so she could shoot the gun. hmmmm strange
