Gosh so many! Not including R and RC which I already liked aerosmith but Don't count it cuz its not disney made.
The Original Horizons soundtrack was outstanding! It brought tears to my eyes to hear it again from horizons1's compilation. The same theme in true disney fashion fit every style of music from each scene from the eerie intro spacy music to the wacky modern future living, to the slow harmonica in mesa verde's deserts, to the silly campy video screens with that cute boy and the girl talking. Then there were the other themes! The redone fast paced Beautiful tomorrow song in easy living, the fanciful looking back on tomorrow with its verne-esq french tones and wacky "balancing" style crescendo (or whatever you call it!
) and the mysterious and wonderful sounds from the deep which I still have to rewind because I couldn't believe it was THAT good. The silence of space is captured in a tasteful and sincere tone that although has a lot too it seems to convey silence itself! and finishing with the fast paced exciting choose your tomorrow theme which always sounded almost peter panish to me if peter pan was in star trek/wars that is! and of course the if you can dream it then you can do it theme promising an optimistic future instead of the lame brain pessimist version of today (BOOO!!!)
In addition I also liked the music from Imagination. The Original song will always have a special place. SSE in all versions had great music but I emphasize the cronkite and Irons versions which were particularly stirring. Once again optimistic, and winds well with the action.
Also, while its not really a ride, The Land's old pavilion background music was the only music I ever heard that blended country, electronic, New age, Jazz, folk, and classical music without even sounding odd at all. The way it's arranged on the E82 collection finishes with a slow country guitar picking version of "listen to the land" which is so powerful I break down when I hear it. It makes me picture someone looking back at their carefree life in the country and thinking one day they will return.
Body wars and Wonders also had music that stuck in my head as a child. I remembered the "Oh Of Pleasure" song they played in WOL all the way from 2000 to 2008 until I finally found out what it was called and how to get it. Though It's not disney made.
Basically in my expirience Epcot has had the best music that stuck with me for a long time. In addition, Epcot, The MK, and the HISTK playground in MG...Hollywood Studios all played "Behind the Waterfall" by David lanz, another tune I loved but couldn't find till at least 4 years after I stopped going to florida for a bit.
Space Mountains entrance music also forever embodied excitement anticipation and a feeling without any sadness whatsoever.
Soarin' is a new addition, but I find myself immediately thinking about my love for california and its beauty, majestic golden gate bridge, serene beaches, central valley, mysterious deserts, Its all reflected well and then the finale seeing an icon I immediately associate with the ultimate happiness.
Honorable mentions include: Splash Mountain, Tiki Room, Country Bears, Delta Dreamflight, Living Seas, Energy, WOM, both test tracks, Food Rocks, Norway, River of time, (ok everything in epcot
), Small world (not simply the song but every version for every land, it can actually sound really cool when you think about it), Carousel of Progress, TTA
