Just trying to get an idea of what kind of food people like - either that or it is getting too close to dinner time.

What is your favorite restaurant/restaurants. Doesn't have to be Disney - any type and anywhere.

My two favorites are:

India Cafe (In Shrewsbury MA.)
and Fire and Ice in Boston

Oh, Fire and Ice is a grill place - you get a bowl and walk up to a giant buffet bar, where they have all the raw ingrediants you want - meats, pastas, veggies, etc. - and then you get a little cup of stir-fry sauce - they have about a dozen to choose from, and you bring it up to the grill and they cook it for you. That way you only have yourself to blame if you don't like the combination!

My favorite chain restaurant is The Olive Garden (ironically, based in Orlando!).

My favorite WDW restaurant is The Liberty Tree. Yum! The dressing on their salad (I think a strawberry vinaigrette) is also one of the best I have ever tasted.

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.

Sounds like a Mongolian grill, quite partial to them:slurp:

They have one here at Providence Place... Interesting concept... The trick is: Pile the bowl completely full of meat (the steak, of course) and pack it all in, pack it real good, see, stuff the bowl full o' meat, and then on the very top, add in all yo' veggies and stuff... Pack it all down, stuff it all in, and try to create a mountain of food without it toppling over... Get the most for your money... :sohappy:

My favorite resturaunts are:

Olive Garden (Lots of breadsticks and Fed. Alfredo)

Johnny Rockets and Pointe Orlando

Cheeburger Cheeburger on Sanibel Island (where they don't make hamburgers)

and

This place in downtown Boston with sawdust on the floor, and the wait staff are very rude.

Ahhh!! OMG! I love Cheeburger Cheeburger! It seems they only have them in Florida though, the only time I ever saw one was in Ft. Lauderdale. But anways, their milkshakes are awesome and their burgers are huge! (did you do the pounder club thing? lol I sure didnt )

Anyways, my favorites:

Olive Garden (Italian/Can be found anywhere)
Chevy's (Mexican/Only place I know of is in Florida, lol)
House of Kobe (Japaneese/Local restaraunt)
Jiko's (African/AKL)
Wolfgang Puck's (Californian?/Downtown Disney)
Tu Tu Tangos (Many things. This place is to die for! When visiting Orlando, I HIGHLY recommend going there! It's probably the best out of all of these, actually.)

Mmmm... food :slurp:

Almost, but it isn't asian. But the same concept. Hey, are there any mongolian grills down in Orlando?

Durgin Park. I have not been there, but I have heard a lot about it. I think those are peanut shells, but I could be wrong. Of course the rude waitstaff isn't much help in diferentiating anything in Boston.

Or as my mom would say..."Dahgahn Pawk". Yea, it was either Peanuts or sawdust, I can't remember. Either way, I heard they don't do it anymore.

Speaking of rude people...In all my travels, I have found the Canadian people in the Niagra Falls area to be not very nice.

I went to an Olive Garden (at Crossroads) on my last visit and was pleasantly surprised by how nice the food was. Chain restaurants tend to be bland, but this one was not.

In the UK a similar surprise was found in Cafe Uno at Marlborough. Great grub. And if you are in the vicinity of Avebury you have to go into the tea room there. Top notch tea and cake. It can be quite a sight - dozens of hardened bikers clad in black leathers and the works, sipping tea and munching on fresh cakes :D

It's nice when you don't have to wait 60 minutes for a table. I could eat at Olive Garden, all day, every day.

My favorite Disney resturaunt is the Tusker House. I love the fried chicken sandwiches (and it's very cheap too). Also, Leaning Palms at Typhoon Lagoon has very good sandwiches. The worst sandwiches are at the Pop Century food court. I got a cheeseburger from there, and it wasn't very tasty. Burnt hamburger on sourdough bread is not my favorite.

Ah, we've got about 4 Cheeburger Cheeburger places in the area here(I only visit the one at CityPlace though. For those who don't know what the heck i'm talking about, CityPlace an upscale shopping district, along with many places to eat and a Muvico Theater. I like to call it a fancier version of Downtown Disney :) ). They've got some awesome milkshakes and burgers.

My favorite restaurants include:

TGI Friday's
The Cheesecake Factory
Red Lobster
The Olive Garden
Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville (Best. Cheeseburgers. Anywhere.)
Outback Steakhouse
Chili's
Dave and Busters (great food, and an amazing video arcade. If you know what it is, you know how great they are)

And some local eateries in south Florida:

The Original Steakhouse and Sports Theater (good steakhouse, and a ton of televisions everywhere)
Brewzii's (nice, laid-back place. Portions are so big, an appetizer can be as filling as an entire four-course meal! )
Duffy's Drafthouse and Sports Grill (good food, atmosphere)

:D
