Favorite places in WDW

Not a favorite place, but a favorite memory:

Way past my (then) 2 1/2 year old's bedtime, after the Main Street Electrical Parade, we go ride her favorite "it's a small world" one last time. She's almost asleep, but willing herself to stay awake, and singing along with "it's a small world" in the sweetest little tired-girl voice, about as happy (and tired) as a little girl could be.

It was pure magic.

Hotels: The lobby of the Polynesian

MK: The water fountain/statue of Cinderella behind the castle, the Haunted Mansion (anywhere in or around it), on the submarines on 20,000 Leagues, the queue for Pirates of the Caribbean.

EPCOT: The Living Seas, inside the Mexico pavillion, the fountain in Italy.

MGM: New York Street (especially the umbrella).

And of course the monorail.

I really enjoy hanging out around the lake at Coronado Springs. Also Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe is another favourite. You can't beat a restaurant w/ good food and a "lounge lizard." But my all-time favourite is the TTA.:sohappy: It's just a great way to relax after a long day in the park.

Contemporary. I don't know what smell is coming from the restaurant but whatever it is, I LIKE IT! Plus there is decent shopping which is never too crowded and the monorail flying overhead. If I need to kill an hour or two that's where I always go.

I think that the best feeling in the world and my favorite spot has to be main street. This is two fold. I think about pushing through the turn style. Walking under the tunnel seeing the various posters for the rides. Grabing a park map and emerging into the sun light and all it once it hits you the sun, the smell, the music, the sight of the castle from the forced prospective. it is all there and you know you are in a magic place. This is only increased at mickey magic christmas party when your standing on the cusp of main street in shorts its a crisp 70 degress out and the snow is falling turning the warm florida night into a christmas wonderland.

On a related topic, when you're at one of your favorite spots do you ever just stop for a minute and say to yourself: "Wow, I'm here!"? That's just the greatest feeling.:)

World Showcase at dusk, after it rains and the lights are just turning on and everything is glimmering and shining.

The ferryboat to the Magic Kingdom.

The bakery on Main Street.

The bridge to Tomorrowland.

Exiting the Space Mountain cars.

Just relaxing with a cold Coke on the bench by Dumbo and Pinocchio's restaurant (facing toward the restaurant and Ariel's thingy) when it's hot and real crowded watching everyone hurrying by, realizing I'm happy to sit there and don't care if I don't ride another ride as long as I can see the Spectromagic parade and fireworks that night.

We say that all the time. Actually, what we say is "Wow, I'm home!" On a side note, is that you on the bike? How'd you get a bike on Main Street? Awesome!

Hello,

My wife and I just love to sit by the pool bar at the Boardwalk watching our 5 year old son having the time of his life on the waterslide.

I would have to say that other than WDW in general my most favorite place would be standing on the street side in world show case durning the night watching Illuminations! That show makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
