WDW and UO both offer special benefits to onsite guests. Which are your favorites and why? (Note that the poll allows you to select more than one but please try to limit yourself to your absolute favorites.)

EMH (great time to be in the parks and enjoy the attractions....especially late at night), DME (super convenient and a perfect way to start a trip to WDW) and the free transportation around the parks (no rental car to have to worry about!).

Extra Reduced Magic Hours.
Darn it! The EMH are a great perk! I am very angry that Disney is changing this! I can only hope for something better to come along! Remember now, WDW has 4 parks, and 2 water parks, DTD, and other places to go to w/ transportation! With all that, I think WDW does a good job!:) Do I think improvements need to be made. Of course! All good businesses make improvements, hence the refurbs, etc... It's a great feeling not to worry about renting a car from the airport to get to your resort!:) I guess maybe we're comparing "apples to oranges" here. IMHO.

So you prefer taking a bus to a theme park rather than being able to walk to a theme park?
I find myslef selecting the Epcot Resorts so that I can walk to Epcot and MGM um I mean Disney Studios. Sometime even a walk to the monorail onto MK. These days, I try to avoid the buses as much as possible. The only decent bus rides are POFQ buses and AKL buses. The other ones are a nightmare.

I realize this is a WDW fun site but seriously, how can any Disney onsite benefit compare to Universal's all day front-of-the-line access? If WDW offered this exact same benefit, I suspect this would be the run-away winner. But because it's a benefit for staying onsite at Universal, many seem to ignore it. (And yes, I am trying to stir the pot to get the discussion going.;))
wait so if you stay at one of the three "offical" universal hotels, you get to cut the line? huh? Please explain.

wow that's fascinating. I like universal, but i spend more time at Disney then i do universal. same thing goes for sea world, busch gardens, and legoland. i can see how people can spend a week at universal. i feel like maybe sometime ill do universal and the other parks first while staying at universal and then switch over to Disney. does that seem logical?

Sure, makes sense. Have you ever stayed onsite at Universal or at one of the resorts within walking distance at WDW (Y&BC, BWI, and CR)? I ask because I always enjoy walking between the theme parks and resorts much more than I've ever enjoyed bus, boat, or Monorail service. I prefer walking at my own pace rather than jaming onto someone else's mass transit with a bunch of other tired, sweaty bodies.
We normally stay at the Polynesian (habit I guess??) and in October, it isnt normally crazy, busy. I can understand your feelings, but we never had a problem with over crowding that time of year
