Well, my favorite would be without a doubt Impression de France. Not at all an original WDW creation though, but the soundtrack is so well put together, and well, they picked the right French artists and songs to give the wholemovie an incredible impact.

As for original Disney music, I would agree that RoE is a great piece. After that I think I would have to go with the Haunted Mansion or Pirates for the shear classic-ness of them.

On the flip side, music I hate, sorry, but I can;t stand the Spash Mountain songs, or the end scene for el Rio de Tiempo.

I love walking around the MK and hearing all those great songs from Disney movies. I think my favorites are "When You Wish Upon A Star" from Pinocchio, "Colors of the Wind" from Pochahantas, and "Feed the Birds" from Mary Poppins.

Oooo...You guys really hit my favorite topic here. I have park soundtracks as old as a 1982/83 LP (Bear in mind I was born in '79) The theme park music is, IMHO, some of the best music out there. The DAK soundtrack is probably the single most relaxing album I've heard in a long time. I LOVE the Millenium Celebration soundtrack. I can close my eyes and relive my memories of that show (I must have seen it 40-50 times during my CP). I really get a kick out of the "Droid Room" (BGM in the Star Tours queue where that G-2 droid is talkin to you). The ambient music resort wide is just terrific. I also LOVE the version of "Steamboat Willie" that you hear in the "Stars and MotorCars" parade (kind of a dixieland feel). Then there's Fantasmic! music. I worked Merchandise @ Fantasmic! when I did my CP and the music from that show just embodies everything good about my experience and still makes me misty-eyed whenever I listen to it. I also LOVE "Manheim Steamroller meets the Mouse", especially their, "When you Wish Upon a Star" & "Mickey Mouse Club". Even if the title does bring to mind disturbing images of a Mickey pancake. I could go on forever about park music. :D

I love many of the music from the Disney parks. In fact, I have large collection of almost 200 individual mp3's from the Disney parks. Among my favorites...

-The current theme to Spaceship Earth
-The theme to Ellen's Energy Adventure
-The song "Two Brothers" and the 94' version of "Golden Dream" from American Adventure.
-The theme to the Phantom Manor in Paris.
- The area music in EPCOT...I just love EPCOT!

If you have any requests, my entire collection is able to be downloaded when I am logged on the Gnutella network for file swapping, or if you have a request, send me a message and I will try to get it to you.

Another great place to get mp3 audio is <A HREF="http://www.soundofmagic.com>www.soundofmagic.com</A>

Check it out!

I too am a huge Haunted Mansion freak!
But the most memorable music to me is the end of Spaceship Earth (from the starfield through the finale), the music in El Tempo Rio, Any song for the RoE CD, Golden Dream from American Adventure. Space Mountain queue music, Splash Mountain, Tough To Be A Bug queue music, the old music in the lobby & Library of Tower Of Terror, and of course, who can forget listening to "Dude Look Like A Lady" while flying through the loops of Rock N Rollercoaster.

I love it all but I hav e to say my favorites are:

Fantasmic!
Space Mountain in DL ( I wish they would add it to MK)
The music from Light Magic at DL

This might sound obvious but I believe the best music anywhere in Disney to be Test Track. The beat got me drumming on the railings in line and was enough for me to buy the new music from around the parks CD that night. I also like how they present the music. You know as you progress through the line you hear different parts of the song. Setting a strong second place is grim grinning ghosts!

It's a Small World is sacred. Let's leave it alone. Don't "improve' anything. Just leave it alone, just the way it is. Ride if you want, or else.....don't.
PS Oh, IMO, LOL!

I like the area music of Tomorrowland and Main Street U.S.A. I like the entrance music at the MK and I like the queue music of Splash Mountain.

Disney music

Music is one of the (many) things Disney does best. Among my favorites:

1. "Imagination" (the original)
2. Splash Mountain
3. The medley of classical French music at Impressions de France
4. Spaceship Earth
5. The Hit Men ( the live brass group that plays at MGM and Epcot)
6. Haunted Mansion ("Grim Grinning Ghosts")
7. Pirates of the Caribbean

Disney better not take "Its a small world" away. If they do, I might just build one in my backyard.

I love the music, and always ride it at least 4-5 times each visit to WDW.
