dec. 2003, Riding SSE with my 10 month old first-born, having the ride break down, and carrying down the stairs from the top! It was such a bonding moment, my only regret was we were just past the apex and did not get to walk back through the cool scenes, especially burning Rome.

Went to MK with a BF years ago, he was the reserved and quiet type. We were walking down Main street when a band started to play. My BF grabbed me, lead me in a dance, twirling me around, crowds parted and people stared at us. I was dumbfounded, I had no idea he could dance like that. Just so out of the blue. I felt like we were in a movie.

From our last trip, my 8 yr old son was pulled out of the crowd in Italy to perform with the soccer ball juggler. He sent little man 90 feet qway at the end of the show with a net and threw a small soccer ball. Little man moved left like 4 inches and caught the ball, crowd went wild, my son smiled for the next 6 hours (and I think also in his sleep). Pure impromptu MAGIC!

My favourite moment happens everytime I'm there, finding somewhere near Mainstreet USA to sit with my family and enjoy an ice cream and a chat, watching the world go by and just being grateful to be there (pure cheddar cheese).
I'm hoping my best moment is still to come, I imagine it could be in the form of providing Magical Moments for others...I can't wait!

My favorite would have to be my oldest DS on his first trip to the world. At the Woody and Buzz meet and greet at DHS, he asked Buzz that if he pressed his red button, would he fly around the room. Seeing his reaction at just about every attraction and meet and greet made the trip memorable. Can't wait till 2014 when we take both our DS. Will be the younger ones first trip.

That is the magic. The unexpected special stuff that you can't plan.

I was probably about 5-6 years old in the early 80's and my first WDW trip was the week before Christmas (thanks to my aunt Janie who retired from Lucent Technologies in Orlando and used to hook us up with free tix). I just remember the decorations, the parade, the shops and picking out my own ornament at a shop that hung on my parent's Christmas tree until I got married and now it hangs on ours. We started our own family tradition now where every time we go our girls get to pick 1 ornament each trip that we put on the tree. When they get married and have their own families all these ornaments will transfer to them.

Mine is probably when my mother and two brothers and I arrived for our first visit (I have 1974 in my sig, but actually that's just a guess). We checked into the Contemporary, which my brothers and I thought was just the coolest looking place to stay - like right out of a movie. My mom was a little tired from the trip (from NYC - she hated flying), so she rested up in the room for a while, and my brothers and I had fun riding the monorail around for a while. It was so much fun just entertaining ourselves by riding the monorail that ENTERED THE HOTEL! There were no cell phones, PCs, video games or anything like that back then - we could have spent a whole weekend doing only that and we'd have been pretty happy.

I couldn't decide between three of them, all from same day. I have the usual fond memories going as a kid. But on my recent trip it was my fiancee and her daughters first trip. Their faces will forever be imprinted in my memory walking up mainstreet.

The first greatest memory is her dressed up in her Tinkerbell costumer and the first character we happen to meet is Tink herself. I a tough guy at 30 yrs old cried when I saw her interacting and so excited. Photopass saved the day snapping away this moment we will always cherish.

The next is my DD freaked walking the queue to Pirates because of the scary atmosphere. She toughed it out though and rode it, (because our rule is we ride everything once and if we don't like it we don't ever have to ride it again). Later that day it was time for the Haunted Mansion. I explained it is similar to Pirates. She gave me that panicked look and I could clearly see she wanted to pass. I didn't push it and told her whenever you are ready to ride it let us know and we will. Be it this trip or next, or years and years from now. Well we rode IASM and after getting off she said "I think I want to do the Haunted Mansion now". I looked at her in shock. Here is this 5 year old who just mustered up the strength to brave the Haunted Mansion all on her own. We immediately headed for the ride. I got the CM to let us bypass the stretching room and although my DD was a little apprehensive she kept it together. Never cried and actually said she enjoyed the ride. I was and still am so proud of her for going on.

and the last great memory I have is all 3 of us went on Space Mountain together. My soon to be DW isn't a coaster fan. But she follows the rules to try it once. The whole time we both were worried our DD would fly out of the seat being she is so tiny and has no fear. I kept reaching back to try to make sure she was in there buckled in good. On the ride I hear my DD screaming Wahoooo. Yeaaaa. I hear my soon to be DW gulping and gasping in fear. When out of no where I hear our DD say "Mom........ You ok back there?" with great concern in her voice. I couldn't help but laugh when I heard my soon to be DW say "Yea I am fine hun". LOL This ended up being my DD's favorite ride of all time. She can't wait for us to go back in Feb to ride it all over again.

Reading over everyone's posts has made me realize a few things. I am very fortunate to be able to have so many WDW experiences and memories. I read how someone can't wait to stay on Disney Property and are saving their Dream Dollars for it. It made me realize how easily you can take things for granted. How a simple thing to me of staying on property can be something monumental and more magical for the next person. It also made me realize how the person in front, or behind us waiting for an attraction may have waited their entire lives and saved for many many years to experience it. Where as it may be out 5th or 6th time riding it within a few years. It makes me appreciate everything I get to experience in the parks just a little bit more. ALL of us that have had the chance to walk down main street really don't understand how fortunate we are and probably how many people out there will never experience that, due to money, location, disabilities, life circumstances, or whatever it may be. I do save every penny I can, skimp out on some luxuries other may not, hold my annual garage sale to put towards Disney, use my Disney Rewards card to earn money, save save save to experience this... But I can guarantee you next time... I am going to appreciate it just a little more. Can't wait to read everyone else's favorite moment.
