Favorite Moderate Resort

Whats you favorite moderate resort? My vote goes to Coronado. The pool is awesome and the place is huge! I also think that it has a great theme. To bad the food is so bad though.

Port Orleans Riverside formerly Dixie Landings. The atmosphere is great and the food isn't bad!

My vote goes to Coronado as well, it is so beautiful there!!! You are right about the food though, which is a big downer late at night when you are just getting in from a park and dying to eat!!!

Carribean Beach. But I haven't stayed at either PO resorts yet. I'm booked for the POFQ in November. I didn't like the CS. Too big and hard to get around.

Port Orleans! :sohappy: Very compact and easy to get around, and it's SO beautiful in the evening! Can't wait to go back!

I'd heard all the horror stories (sprawling property, uninspiring room views, understaffed, crowded, et al.) but our visit there in February was splendid despite some renovation work being done to Olde Port Royale and the feature theme pool. We stayed in Martinque Building 25 with a waterview room and the distance between our village's quiet pool, OPR and the bus stop was perfect as well as our location. A few questions:

Has the large playground on Parrot Cay Island been removed? We couldn't find a trace of it anywhere.

We stayed at the Magic Kingdom late for an E Ticket night; do the CBR direct buses stop running at a specific time?

What were the renovations being done to the bathrooms at the feature pool and front of OPR near the marina?

I have to vote for Dixie Landings, renamed Port Orleans Riverside. The food court is great, especially the bakery. Love those huge chocolate chip cookies! When you walk to your room, especially if it is in Alligator Bayou, it is always so calm and relaxing. The rooms are big, the beds have always been comfortable. Great landscaping. The gift shop is great. The pace of the resort seems less frenetic. It's my fave of the moderates.

Coronado all the way!

Although I am staying at the PO FQuarter next week, the Coronado is my favorite one.

It amazes me to see the beauty of this hotel especially 'cause of the pool and the fountains.

This resort absolutely beats the others.

POrleans French Quarter is very very good too, then Riverside 3rd and 4th :hurl: CB!!!!

No I'm kidding CB must not be that bad! But I've never stayed there. I have to admit though that the cafetaria/restaurant facilities at CB are great.
