When I first visited WDW in 2004, I will never forget seeing a group of Disney character heading to the parade building to prepare for the Share A Dream Come True Parade. Including Pinocchio who I just meet at the time in Town Square. Did I mention I didn't see any character handlers during my first two visits to WDW?

During my second visit to WDW in 2006, before Spectromagic began. I remember this one female cast member who was middle aged who jokingly said for me to stay behind the rope including the very tip of my legs and shoes. And before and after I seen Fantasmic for the first time. I remember talking to these two middle aged couple who were also very happy and excited to discuss about the show and WDW in general. Can't forget the first time I meet Mickey in his Sorcerer Mickey outfit and my mom said I was about to have a heart attack because of how excited I was meeting him for the first time.

But my ultimate favorite WDW memory is my first and second time meeting Marie from The Aristocats at the Magic Kingdom in Town Square in Main Street USA. I will never forget about flattered and playful she was with me. She ever started flirting with me and made a crying gesture when I told her it was my final day at WDW when I encountered her again. Heck I remember crying when I got back to the All-Star Sports Resort because of how happy and emotional I was meeting her. I only started crying when I got back into my room while the other High School students were at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach that day.

About a month before my 40th birthday I started taking scuba diving lessons. I had my certification in time for my solo birthday trip to WDW, and did my first official dive in the Living Seas. Incredible to be on the other side of the glass, interacting with kids, diners, etc. After the dive was over I had a nice meal at the Coral Reef, drinks at the Rose & Crown, and a showing of IllumiNations. On my way out of the park I stopped off at Mouse Gear (then I think it was called the Centorium) to check things out. I saw Pluto having fun with a bunch of folks, stealing their hats and running away, etc. I was standing there enjoying this while chatting with Pluto's handler. I mentioned that it was my birthday and it had been a great one. Next thing I knew Pluto was taking me by the hand and making me stand up on a bench while the handler announced to everyone that "It's Dan's 40th birthday and we all need to sing to him." So I stood on my bench while Pluto led 25 people that I didn't know in a rousing round of Happy Birthday. Totally totally cool!

Wow! That is a pretty incredible experience. It must have been unbelievable being in the tank at the Seas. Good place to do your first official dive! :)

I remember during the "Disney Stars And Motor Cars parade" at Hollywood Studios (Then MGM Studios) in 2006 and as the Toy Story Car float was coming by. Bo Peep walked up to me and blew a kiss at me since I was the closest to the float while behind the roping area. I remember sitting in that exact location near the Sounds Dangerous area.

Fabulous thread !

Countless memories for us, but one of my faves is from several years ago. Doing MK with the family, including my mom and dad. Dad always wears something indicating he's retired Navy, and on this day was wearing his Destroyer Escort Sailors Association jacket. He was approached by a CM who asked if he would participate in the Flag Retreat ceremony at sunset on Main Street and he readily agreed. As it turns out , when the time arrives, the CMs had also picked an Iraqi War Army vet who was an amputee to also participate. Dad did not feel worthy to share the spotlight with the wounded vet who had sacrificed so much, and the vet didn't feel worthy to share the spotlight with the old vet from the Korean "Police Action". Lottsa hugging and tears between the 2 families, but they finally got the flag down and folded. Whew...choked up just writing it.

Another great memory from 2006 was when I first meet Minnie at Animal Kingdom. At the time I had a crush ion her and I found her meeting at the now gone Camp Minnie Mickey. I remember when she hugged me and plaster kissed me I grinned like silly. I still have that exact photo somewhere in my house.

When my daughter was 2 we took her on her first trip. So we park the car, get in the tram to head to the parks and everything is great. The tram stops and as we go to get off she starts freaking out and screaming "Choo Choo Ride!!!". She was having such a great time on the tram she didn't want to get off...so cute.

On the same trip we did the old trick on Dumbo where you got in line and when you got to the gate you let around 30 people go ahead of you so one of you is on one ride and then as soon as that ride is over you hand the kiddo over to the parent who is waiting for the next ride and your child gets 2 rides for the price of waiting for one. So my wife takes her on, she loves it. She goes to take her off and hand her to me and she is screaming "Noooooo" and having a mini tantrum because she doesn't want to get off. Not realizing that she was getting right back on the ride again. We still laugh about that one.

A fun memory was during the Stars and Motor Cars parade I was holding my son who was 1 or 2 at the time and Cruella walked right up to us and asked him "How are you doing little boy?" with a huge smile on her face. A great character interaction.

There are so many more, but I'll stop.

My parents are mad that the two Dumbos and the play area happened after I had gotten much older. :joyfull:

Let's see. I have so many!
The two times I took friends to Magic Kingdom, one had never been, and one had been when she was 5. They both cried at the welcome show and had the biggest smiles on their faces all day!
Then a few weeks ago, my husbands grandfather passed on, and we had to go to Miami, we drove with his parents on the way back home (North Florida) and he convinced them to stop for dinner at Disney (we went to Whispering Canyon Cafe) and then they wanted to ride the monorail and the boat, and my husband wanted them to try dole whip, so we went to the Poly and got three dole whips, as his parents had never had one, so they were going to share. The CM, without knowing about the funeral, called me back over after we sat down, and gifted me an extra dole whip. Since my FIL didn't get one (and had realized he liked it by this point) we gave it to him, and it really brightened his terrible week. We then watched "Wishes" from the beach at the Poly while eating dole whip. My FIL cried, and it was a really wonderful evening.

My family took our first vacation to WDW in 2014 with my Husband,my 1 year old son at the time, and Me. There were definitely so many magical moments for all of us, but one that stands out is when we were riding Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride when the Camel spit and hit my husband. My one year old did not stop laughing for what seemed to be an hour. He is now 3 years old and sometimes still brings it up. It is one of the few things he remembers from the trip.

Ok last year (March 2015) I was lucky enough to get to participate in the Disney Dreamers Academy. After all the workshops were over with that day I realized I Magic Kingdom would be open until 2 am that morning! So I grabbed two people I had met and known for barely a day and we raced to MK. It was both of their first times in the Kingdom and it was hardly my first, so I had the pleasure of showing them around MK and all of its little magical spots. To see their faces as they each saw the Castle for the first time gave me goosebumps. They couldn't believe how perfect it was. It was incredible validation that WDW was doing something right. We jumped on 7 Dwarfs since there was no line, then onto every ride possible until closing. To watch them get to explore an entirely new universe to them was an incredibly bonding experience. It has been a year since then and we all three keep in contact with each other. They are my go-to and there is no doubt that if it wasn't for that night we wouldn't be such good friends today. They couldn't stop talking about the magic, the theming, and the incredible atmosphere. It was a proud moment for me, getting to show off what I (hopefully) will be investing my life into.

Before our big family trip in February 2015, my sister and I had been watching YouTube videos of the different rides & shows. You know, to up the excitement. So we watched a video of the Country Bears. Well, we were not impressed. We both said, no, we'll pass on that one.
Then we got there and someone needed to take my (then) 3 year old niece to do something while her parents and older brother rode Big Thunder Mountain. So, we opted to take her to the Country Bears. I am so glad we did. I will never forget her face and reactions during the entire show. She was mesmerized and thought they were so funny. In her sweet little 3 year old voice "They're so silly!" Priceless. She's the little blonde cutie in my profile picture.

My sister and I just went a couple weeks ago and had the best time. We spent one morning on Main Street, just soaking up the atmosphere and looking at all the details. There are so many. One of my favorite memories from this last trip we were in front of the castle for the Move It, Shake It, Dance & Play It Street Party. It was so fun see everyone dancing and just having a blast. We decided to hang around afterwords for the Dream Along With Mickey Show. As people were dispersing while the street party parade was leaving, we were just taking it all in. I looked over and saw a lady with tears just pouring. I think she was just so happy and moved by being there, in front of the castle with the atmosphere and everything. I totally know how she felt and was close to welling up myself. (I actually did during the DAWM show and several times over the course of the visit).

Disney World IS the most magical place on earth. It's hard to explain it to someone who's never been.
