Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel lounge? I was thinking of going to the Contemporary after the Magic Kingdom closes. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Tambu Lounge at the Poly is great for people watching but a bit busy. I love the lounge at the Boardwalk but I'm not sure what it's called. Last time we were there, there was a pianist who also rode a bike serenading us with Christmas Carols! It's alot of fun!

AKL lounge (Victoria Falls) is very cool, as it looks out over Boma and (I think) the pool at AKL.

I also like the Crew's Cup in the Yacht Club for its wide selection of beers, clubby atmosphere and the fact that it rarely gets too crowded.

I like the Outer Rim at the Contemporay.

It's got a nice view and the drink prices are reasonable and they have hot and cold snacks a vailable for a little extra fee.

Shrimp cocktail and Chicken wings. Mmmmm:slurp:

The only problem I have found is their hours. Sometimes they close early, sometimes late. I guess it just depends how many patrons are there.

At the Wilderness Lodge, the lounge is really quiet and friendly. They will make your drinks in plastic cups, if you ask, so that you can go outside and sit by the pool and under the trees. It's really relaxing.

Victoria Falls Lounge at AKL is so nice. It's really quite romantic. It's very dark, yet inviting with comfy chairs and interesting surroundings...however, you may find it difficult to get there.

It's also not very big, but because it's kinda out of the way, it's usally not too busy.

We had a few drinks with friends there on our last visit, and it was quite nice, it's more intimate than the conceiage lounge.

No....The Outer Rim Bar is on the 4th floor Concourse Level.

It is right near Chef Mickeys and The Concourse Steakhouse.

The California Grill is on the 15th floor.

Here is another vote for the outer rim. Been there a few times usually in the afternoon for a break from the park or on the way back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. Wonderful view and nothing like sitting on the concourse watching teh monorail and guests walking about. I also thoroughly enjoy the lounge at the california grill. But I'm not so sure its the best place to go after the park, as many of the guests there are waiting for their table or eating dinner in the lounge which you can do. Shorts are allowed but it's more of a dressy shorts look. (i'm a former floridian so there is such a thing as dressy shorts and non dressy shorts - LOL)

I also got to experience the Tambu Lounge at the Poly this past winter. Really loved it. Drinks were awesome. I had this one drink in a pineapple- i can't remember what it is called but its made with pineapple juice and was awesome!!

I found alot of the other lounges and bars at the hotels to be a bit too quiet. NOT that the ones above are so busy other than the CA Grill, but they aren't dead and have great atmosphere.

I haven't been to too many lounges throughout the world, but I must say that the lounge at POR is quite cozy. Also, even though it isn't a lounge at all, I like the little nooks around the lobby of WL. Just thought I'd let you know! :)
