Hi everyone! Just wondering, what is everyone's favorite counter service in the parks? (e.g., Cosmic Ray's, Pizza Planet, etc?) For families with kids a "sitdown" restaurant isn't always feasible, but wondering what you all like best? We actually loved Pizzafari in Animal Kingdom--the sandwiches and dessert pizza there were great! How about you?

The best I can do is pick one for each park...
MK - Cosmic Ray's. The food selection is good (I hear their policies have taken a slight turn), you can sit outside right to Cindy's Castle and the main Tomorrowland entrance, Sunny Eclipse plays inside, and they have that great Tomorrowland music piping in from the ceiling.
EP - Sunshine Seaon Food Fair. Epcot doesn't have much in terms of good counter service, but this place has a great selection of food and a lot of room to sit
MGM - Probably Backlot Express. The food is standard fare, but there are many real/fake props scattered around, so it's fun to look at everything. They also play themes to 80s TV shows in the background.
AK - Pizzafari. It's a fun place to eat, the seating area is HUGE, and they have good food too

Ditto!

Pinocchio Village Haus over at MK is good for nostalgic purposes, though.

Oh dear. I'm going under a nostalgic high. Why for some reason do I want to spend the day sitting at La Pirata y El Perico?! :brick: :brick:

:D

Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe gets my vote!

Other favorites include the Pecos Bill Cafe, Electric Umbrella, Backlot Express, and Restaurantosaurus.

What policies have changed at Cosmic Ray's? Nothing too serious I hope.

Anyway, of course Cosmic Ray's is my favorite, and where we usually eat at the MK. At Epcot, we like the Electric Umbrella and Cantina San Angel. At MGM, we haven't eaten lunch too much there, and when we do it's been like twice at 50s Prime Time Cafe, once the Commissary, and a few times the Backlot Express. I guess I'll say the Backlot Express because it's the only one that brings us back and it's not as pricy as 50s Prime Time.

For MK - I have to go with Columbia Harbor House

For EPCOT - We usually just pick as we go, a little here, a little there. It is one of the best things about EPCOT

For MGM - Not sure of the name but had a great burger at a place on Hollywood Blvd. They had picnic tables outside. Anyone know the name?

For AK - The Tuskar House. It might be counter svs. but it is great food.

Magic Kingdom - El Pirata Y el Perico

Animal Kingdom - Flame Tree Barbeque (Tusker House a Close second)

Epcot - Tangierine Cafe (No good for the narrow minded all they will eat are burgers and chicken strips brigade)

Studios - This option is blank for future development! Sorry Studios, but your counter service options are bland beyond belief. Though it is a good place for the narrow minded all they will eat are burgers and chicken strips brigade ;)

My favorites are:

Magic Kingdom: Cosmic Rays

Epcot: Sunshine Season Food Fair (The Land)
Liberty Inn (The American Adventure)

MGM: Sunset Ranch Market

Animal Kingdom: Pizzafari

All of these offer selections for my whole family, including my daughter the herbivore.
