A Muppet Family Christmas

By far my all time favorite!!! I was SOOOOOOOO mad when they released it on home video and I watched it and realized it was edited and not the original. My DVD copy from my VHS recording gets a ton of play every year. No matter how many times I watch, its always funny.

I also like the go-motion Santa Clause is coming to town. Oh and who can forget all the awesomeness that was the star wars holiday special!!!

We always watch the Muppets Family Christmas and Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol on Christmas eve. We also loved Emmet Otter's Jug Band Christmas and John denver's Christmas special with the Muppets.

John Denver's Christmas special with the Muppets was great... including the soundtrack album!

I personally loved all of the old family variety show Christmas specials with a live audience. I wish they would do more of those today.

Vince Gill did a Christmas special that I taped several years ago, with Chet Atkins and Amy Grant and others on it, and I watch that sometimes while I decorate.

As for animated, I love A Charlie Brown Christmas. Simple, meaningful, and fun. I also like Rudolph and especially the one with the Island of Misfit Toys. (Both Toy Story and Wreck-It-Ralph can trace some of their appeal for me to that same misfit toys storyline.)

For me, it's a tossup between Year Without a Santa Claus (another Miser fan here!) and Santa Claus is Coming to Town.
