Whats favorite WDW celebration?

I'd say mine may be the 100 Years of Magic because of all the new parades and focus on Walt's life. I also really like the Sorcerer's Hat.

I also liked the 25th Anniversary Celebration and the Castle cake (though many people didn't)

25th...for sure. 2000 at EPCOT was STELLAR, but I have to side with the MK 25th, mainly because it was the "good ole days"...Country Bear Jamboree, Carousel of Progress, THE ORIGINAL Enchanted Tiki Room, and DREAMFLIGHT.

*sigh*

I don't know, I don't care for any of them at least what they did to symbolize it. The castle cake was okay, but the wand and hand is aweful.

The only one that impressed me was the Millennium Celebration, because they actually did a lot of stuff for it. All of the others are basically just a gimmick. The only worthwhile thing of the 25th aniversary was seeing the castle as a cake, everything else was just a forgettable parade or small, brief attraction. 100 YoM seems the same way to me.

One of the reasons why I like the celebrations so much is that they add all this new stuff to my memorabilia collection. The new glasses, the new statuettes, snow globes, stuff like that. Plus it make it easier to differentiate between visits.

Hated the Cakestle. Honestly, I thought that was simply hideous. Didn't mind the wand, but I thought it was going away after the millenium celebration. Haven't been around for the hat yet (going in june!!!!!) so we'll see. It disappoints me that the hat obscures the Chinese theatre (could they have put it on the earffel tower or something?) but other than that I don't have many problems with it.

Best: millenium. If for no other reason than for the Tapestry of Nations and the Reflections of Earth. Enough said.

I'd have to say 100 Years of Magic....mostly because I never went to WDW during any of the other celebrations. :D

Also, I thought the big Sorcerer's Hat at MGM was neat, and my son thinks the Magical Moments Pins are the coolest thing ever.

I thought that the overall idea for the Millenium celebration was incredible. It really made me thing about World Peace and such.

But I really like 100 YOM because it celebrates the man that started it all. And this time the celebration was extended to all the parks and not really just one like in the Millenium celebration. The only Millenium stuff was really in Epcot.

Personally I don't like any of the icons used for thre celebrations. The pink cake for 25th Anniversay was awful, and spoilt my first visit to WDW. The 2000 sign over Spaceship Earth was better than the cake, but I liked Spaceship Earth how it was, it looked "cleaner" and more futuristic, not it looks tacky with the Epcot sign. The Big Hat is my favorite (if I'm going to have one), but it does spoil the view of the Chinese Theatre.

As far as the celebrations go, Magical Moments parade I love, and I'm glad they kept it (until "Share A Deam Come True Parade"). I'm also glad they kept Tapestry to, I like that. I can't yet comment on 100th celebrations, as i have not seem them yet, but the pictures do look good :)

Usually I don't think of a celebration as the "cake" or the "wand". It is the actual feeling I think of when I lived in those times - that hot afternoon, riding Pirates and CBJ. Or that evening, going on Dreamflight. It's all about that to me...

well, i never saw the 25th anniverasy one, and I'm not going to the 100 years one till this summer, so I'll have to go for the only one I've seen. But i do quite like the big hat, and I'm not crazy about the wand sign. So, basically i dont have a clue.

I have to say the Millennium Celebration, but mainly because of Millennium Village ..it was just the most wonderful thing ..all those countries and people. My granddaughters learned things and talked to the people. And something about it gave me a tiny bit of hope .. I havent been yet to the 100 years ..but I know I would like if they could repeat the Millennium Village :)

i like them all... and the icons, sure i didnt like them at first.. but now they are part of the parks that...i find awesome. The birthday cake... eventhough it looked tacky was AMAZING. The wand with 2000... just looked amazing at night...and the hat... o boy that hat.. it is the most amazing of them all. I would give up GMR just for that hat. It looks so nice. I think the best planned celebration was the millenium but the others are just as good! :)

Although the 2000 Celebration is my favorite,I also really enjoyed Donald Duck's Birthday (I love the song) and the 20th Celebration (Surprise!) with the giant character balloons parade in the MK.

My favorite, by far, has been the 100 Years of Magic Celebration. I love the Sorcerer Hat and all the new parades, and this celebration, if extended to the end of March 2003, will have seen SO many new rides--despite the fact that two of them opened before the celebration, for me, we got Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, Magic Carpets of Aladdin, TriceraTop Spin, Primeval Whirl!, One Man's Dream, and we will get Mission: SPACE in soft opening by the end as well as the reported Tower of Terror random drop sequence this fall! AMAZING!..not to mention the opening of Animal Kingdom Lodge (basically...) and probably Pop Century!

Welllllll....I think that I am going to have to go with 100 Years of Magic....but I don't have much to judge it on, because I didn't go to 25th Anniversary or the 2000 celebrations. I went to WDW the February right after 25th anniversary ended....so, the castle was half pink, half gray...if ya'll thought the cake was ugly (which I thought it was kinda cute..hehe..but anyways), you should have seen this half and half thing! When I went that time, I had not been in a little over 10 years...and I didn't really remember anything...so seeing that half and half castle was kinda weird! lol But anyways, I wasn't there for the 2000 celebration...but I happen to like the Mickey Wand and the Epcot now...it's kinda cool! lol I realllllly like the Sorcerer's Hat and all the hype and parades for 100 YOM....so, i'm gonna stick with that!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy: I like it so much that I'm going back in December!!!!!:sohappy: :sohappy:
