That one is underated. When we went the server brought refills of the muffins and anything else the kids wanted. It appeared from the menu to be pretty sparse but was - for us - all you can eat. Kids loved it and then on the way out played giant chess.I checking daily for Toppolinos
Boma is by far the best breakfast on property. They're dinners are great too. It's a buffet with African flavors but you can get traditional items too. We’re just looking for favorites.
Maybe someone will suggest somewhere we’ve never thought of.
Thanks again for the input.
--Love the brunch at Homecomin'!
--Before moving to Hawaii, I really loved Kona Cafe (delicious but every breakfast place here has as good or better)! Still recommend it though!
--I love Eggs Benedict (but a vegetarian version) and Ale & Compass is one of a few places that could actually poach an egg correctly (I either get running whites, hard yolk, congealed hollandaise, or skimpy hollandaise--not sure why it's so hard). They were more than happy to put spinach, tomato, and avocado on it instead of ham.
--Grand Floridian Cafe
--Boma (but only if we're staying there).
Totally--should've clarified that I've had a huge issue with places not being able to poach an egg correctly. And correct on the hollandaise! Hence why I can count on one hand the times I've had really excellent Eggs BenedictHollandaise is a huge issue.
If you make real hollandaise, and hold it at a proper temperature so that it does congeal, you have to hold it outside of the safe zone where bacteria does not thrive. You will fail a health dept inspection
So, in a restaurant setting you either get
Fake hollandaise that can be held at higher (or lower) temperatures.
Real hollandaise that has been held at too high a temperature and is now congealed.
Real hollandaise that is made a la minute and pushes your breakfast price into the stratosphere.
