All of these pictures reminded me of my all time favorite quick service breakfast - the breakfast burrito at the Yak and Yeti Local Foods in QS. I enjoyed it so much that it was on my must do list the following trip. Until a month or two before, they removed it from their menu. Broke my Miss Piggy heart LOL. But it lives on forever in my memory and in my pictures 🤣

They replaced it with this boring breakfast bowl.

But the seating and view were really nice and peaceful. Just make sure to cross the walkway to the tables next to the water, not the seating immediately next to the food windows.

Enjoyed Ohana during our last trip in 2016 but that was with three kiddos 9 and under. But if you are looking for a character breakfast, highly recommend.

If you're in the neighborhood of the Polynesian Resort, the Tonga Toast (available at the table-service restaurant Kona Cafe if you'd like the works, or via the counter-service restaurant Captain Cook's) is well worth making a breakfast visit. We aren't big "breakfast people," but when we stayed at the Polynesian, we made sure to try it, and were not disappointed. In fact, given the choice between a CS serving of Tonga Toast, and the character breakfast at 'Ohana, which we also did a few years ago, I'd take the Tonga Toast every time!

(If you're unfamiliar with the dish, per Disney, it's "Banana-stuffed Sourdough French Toast rolled in Cinnamon-Sugar, served with a Strawberry Compote, and with your choice of Ham, Spiced Ham, Bacon, or Sausage.")

We’re just looking for favorites.

Maybe someone will suggest somewhere we’ve never thought of.

Thanks again for the input.
Boma is by far the best breakfast on property. They're dinners are great too. It's a buffet with African flavors but you can get traditional items too.

--Love the brunch at Homecomin'!
--Before moving to Hawaii, I really loved Kona Cafe (delicious but every breakfast place here has as good or better)! Still recommend it though!
--I love Eggs Benedict (but a vegetarian version) and Ale & Compass is one of a few places that could actually poach an egg correctly (I either get running whites, hard yolk, congealed hollandaise, or skimpy hollandaise--not sure why it's so hard). They were more than happy to put spinach, tomato, and avocado on it instead of ham.
--Grand Floridian Cafe
--Boma (but only if we're staying there).

Hollandaise is a huge issue.

If you make real hollandaise, and hold it at a proper temperature so that it does congeal, you have to hold it outside of the safe zone where bacteria does not thrive. You will fail a health dept inspection

So, in a restaurant setting you either get

Fake hollandaise that can be held at higher (or lower) temperatures.
Real hollandaise that has been held at too high a temperature and is now congealed.
Real hollandaise that is made a la minute and pushes your breakfast price into the stratosphere.

Totally--should've clarified that I've had a huge issue with places not being able to poach an egg correctly. And correct on the hollandaise! Hence why I can count on one hand the times I've had really excellent Eggs Benedict 😁
