We're going to be spending 2 days/nights at WDW in March 2011. One of those nights we'll be in Epcot. My first choice for dinner there is Rose & Crown Pub. (We ate at Le Cellier last time and loved it but want to try something new.) If we can't get in there close to Illuminations time though, I would consider someplace else, but I'm not sure where. What are some of your faves? I was thinking Chefs of France if Remy might make an appearance. Would he on a Thursday night? I'm open to other ideas though as well. I appreciate everyone's help.

My wife and I enjoyed Les Chefs de France the most on our last trip. We enjoyed Tutto Italia as well but that was a lunch meal for us. I would say that any of them are going to be good. It's just a matter of what kind of food you enjoy.

Good to know. I'll have to check out some menus.
Was Remy at Les Chefs de France when you were there for dinner? Do you know if he still appears? Our kids would really enjoy that since they loved the movie Ratatouille.

Our last trip was December of 2008 which was before Remy started to appear at Les Chefs de France so unfortunately, I'm of very little help for you about his appearances. I'm sure there are others on here who have been more recently than I have who could fill you in. Sorry for that.

I "second" the recommendation for Les Chefs. We ate there on a last minute
"whim" for dinner, and it was one of the best meals of our 6 night trip! We
had a late reservation and were able to see Illuminations through the
windows in the dining room... it was quite "magical"!

Tokyo Dining blew us away on our trip last month.
I can't believe I'd never eaten there on all our previous trips.
Great room and atmosphere, Super Duper Courteous Japanese service. And the Tempura and Sushi were amazing!
Our new favorite!!:slurp:

We've had good meals at Les Chefs de France (pre-Remy) and Biergarten...and would return to both. Wasn't impressed by Marrakesh...appetizers good, but entrees were bland. This trip, we're doing Akershus and Rose & Crown.

Les Chefs de France is by far my favorite. I took my husband on his first trip in January. We had the dining plan and ate some nice meals. However, Chefs de France is the one place that he requested to go to again for our next trip.

My absolute favorite in the World Showcase is Restaurant Marrakesh in Morocco! :slurp:

Another vote for Morocco here. I love the goat cheese appetizer with roasted red pepper sauce. DH always gets the lamb couscous and I opt for the shish kebabs. Both are fantastic. I am a big fan of their mint tea as well.

I love Teppan Edo for three reasons
1) food is good and plentiful
2) you are seated with other people (whilst some people wouldnt like this I think on occasion this is good as I like to chat with people from different parts of the world who share the same passion as me - Disney!)
3) The atmosphere is good and the chefs put on a good show

Restaurant Marrakesh - I ate there for my 21st birthday with my friends and family. I really enjoyed the evening atmosphere. The portions were very filling - my mom and I split a meal, and it was just enough.

Haven't gotten to try the other places yet.

Ooooh, good to know! I didn't realize you could see Illuminations from any restaurant other than Rose & Crown. Thanks!

See, now you have the right attitude. You can sit next to us anytime we are there, lol. Every now and then we get people that just give you the smile and nod and thats it. Some people are very closed off and Teppan Edo is not the kind of restaurant to go to if you are closed off.
