Hey I'm new round here I've been looking for a board like this for a long time! Well my name is Josh future WDWCP alumni and Disney animator. What I want to know is which are your top three fav resorts? Here are mine 1. Port Orlens(French Quarter) 2.Carribean Beach 3. Board Walk........... I figured I would post this in the General forum b/c it doesnt contain any info that could be useful in the resort forum, but do what you will with it moderators.

Later,
Josh

:animwink: The Wilderness Lodge, because of the seclusion and the lush forestry. The architecture is in a class by itself considering the fact that it isn't on the monorail. Even if one doesn't stay at this resort, it would be a nice moment with the camcorder to pay this magnificent resort a visit.

Not sure if anyone is reading these posts here anymore, but I just wanted to add my 2cents worth. I love the Wilderness Lodge. We are DVC members, and this is where I would stay the whole time. My husband is still somewhat loyal to OKW, so we generally split our time between the two. Next visit is in Jan. so we are doing 4 nights at OKW and the last 4 nights at Wilderness Lodge. Can hardly wait.

Favorite Resort

Our favorite resort, right now, is the Grand Floridian. We've stayed at the Poly 3 times and love it. The kids and I enjoyed the Yacht & Beach Club, especially Stormalong Bay, but my wife absolutely loves the Grand.
We (the kids & me) want to try the Contemporary, too.:)

We have always stayed at Fort Wilderness. We have also stayed at the Villas at the Disney Village, PO, and the Contemporary. We stayed in a tower room on the 11th floor in the Contemporary. I love the Contemporary and it is my favorite hotel. The tower rooms are so worth it!!!

Dixie Landings used to be my favorite, until Disney got policallly correct on me. We have also stayed at Caribbean Beach a couple of times, it's okay. Coronado Springs once, never again. Been to Boardwalk once, probably not again. Poly once, was just okay. OKW many times because of DVC. Contemporary twice for conventions. Garden wings are boring, maybe we would stay again if in towers, but they are pretty pricey (in dollars and vacation points). We stayed at Wilderness even before it was DVC and loved it. Now I want to stay as much as possible. Oh and I can't forget. We spent one night at an Allstar because of a late arrival. It is a good thing it was only one night, way too small. I felt claustraphobic.

I thought everything was too far apart. Trying to find our room was a horrible pain in the you know where. It seemed to take us forever to get our luggage to the room. The food court is a big rip off, and that has alot to do with why I like certain resorts. We do not usually spend alot ot time at sit down dinners. We like to spend our time at the parks. We may go to one nice dinner during a weeks stay. So we want to be able to come back late and pick up something to take to the room, thats why we loved Dixie, they had a great food court.

1. Coronado Springs
2. Port Orleans- French Quarter
3. Wilderness Lodge
Just got back from CS. Absolutely loved it! Staff there was very nice and helpful. Anything we needed we got very quickly. There was 3-4 conventions happening everyday we were there. From college kids to dairy farmers to high tech techies. The conventioneers never seemed to be a problem. Our room was steps from the Dig Site(pool) was was great. We requested building 8A and had no problem getting it. We overlooked a part of the lake and saw fireworks from MK. The food was good at the food court. I am not sure the selections would meet everyones need. The portions are huge! We enjoyed the Maya Grill buffet breakfast. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. We are planning on another trip as soon as possible.

Dixie Landings!!! going for 5th time in 14 days!

Along the river, easy access everywhere, especially Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island which is where we usually end up every night.

Polynesian was the honeymoon and was awesome. But too expense for us to do all the time. Vow renewals will be at the Poly.

Not stayed at the Yacht/Beach, but it will be a trip soon as well.

Animal Kingdom Lodge

We were fortunate enough to be able to take a tour of the entire Animal Kingdom Lodge after eating at Jiko. We saw guest rooms, restaurants, pools, animal staging areas and some backstage areas. It was out of this world! I have been able to stay at all but two resorts (Grand Floridian and All Star Music), and by far, AKL is the most fantastic place you could ever stay. Granted, it is somewhat out of the way, but it would be worth it to me. #2 would have to be Boardwalk Villas. I just love the night life there, and everything is so accesable. (Also, spoodles is just downstairs, so that is a definate plus!) #3 would have to be Wilderness Lodge. We have stayed in both the lodge and the DVC section, and I like the lodge better. The rooms seem nice, and we are usually pretty lucky with the views we get, and the pool is fantastic.

My $.02.
