I love the Yacht Club too, for all the reasons you listed, especially the restaurants (Yacht Club Galley... :slurp: )GenerationX said:Having stayed at four of the choices, I voted for my favorite of those, which is the Yacht Club. Elegantly themed, perfect location, outstanding restaurants, and incredible amenities (including the greatest resort pool, Stormalong Bay) add up to one phenomenal Disney experience.
We've stayed at the Contemporary...great access to the monorail, Chef Mickey's, good shopping. Stayed at the Polynesian...beautiful atmosphere, 'Ohana, pool with the great slide, close to the TTC and the beach for watching the fireworks. The only drawback for me was having to go outside to get to everything; it rained most of the time we were there and I got tired of getting wet and the kids got lost in the dark after getting snacks.Ringo8n24 said:Definitely WL...But...I am sort of interested in staying at Poly now that I see how many votes it is getting. I never knew it was so much more a favorite than the others and I am really shocked at how many do not mark the good ole classic Contemporary. Is the interior decor what is creating the low votes for Contemporary?
For us, picking a resort is like a kid in the candy store. So many great places to choose. Many time we thought about other resorts but ended up at our favorite. It's like our comfort zone, we have been there, know the place well and know we won't second guess our selection. It's the unknown of the others, as I will compare to my favorite. Will the resort match our taste. But the flip side, we need to try different resorts to see if there are other we will like. Oh the decision on selecting a resort, but that's half the fun of planning (dreaming).tigsmom said:I'm hoping to try the Beach Club or Boardwalk soon, but we've planned that before & always end up back at the Wilderness.
